(Nothing to do with Madrid Popfest but I'm going to Madrid this weekend with my girlfriend and we're looking for tips or pieces of advice about places to go. I posted in the Madrid topic but noone answered. Basically, any good addresses of bars/pubs, restaurants, record shops, etc..., are more than welcome ! Gracias !)

Sorry.
I´ve seen your post very late. I don´t connect to anorak forum frequently.
I don´t know if I´m on time.

My wife wrote this indie travel guide.

Check and ask for any doubt.

Hi!
Re- the votations for Madrid Popfest, if it's easier, you may also vote (completing the form above as eolrin posted) by sending me a private message here on anorak (but you'll need to let me know your People Like Us nickname)
Don't be shy, we're waiting for your votes!

Well, I would love to vote as I really do want to come to Madrid Popfest next year, but I've never signed up to People Like Us! I've long known that it is a super active forum of seriously dedicated indiepop fans (just look at all the discussion on Indietracks that started in May 2010). But I've not signed up because...I don't speak Spanish really! I would love to, of course. So I can't provide you with a user name on that forum (though it would be the same as what I have on here, anyway) and if you'd take a vote from a non-registered People Like Us fan, I'll email or message them to you. :-)

No problem at all, you can vote with your Anorka username (as well as any other member from Anorak!)
Just complete the form posted above by Eolrin and email it to me at mrosavicentemerino@gmail.com or through private message on Anorak.
I am posting right below the lists of bands that you can choose from (these lists are based on open proposals by PLU members.)

Heh, is that the 'short' list from People Like Us? I like the ambition. ;-) I'm not sure I'll vote for unlikely to impossible candidates (the Field Mice) even if they would be part of a dream line-up, but I will get my votes to you before I leave for New York next Wednesday. I hope others vote too!

Yep, probably best not to vote for unlikely ones and keep your votes "useful". ;)
The policy was to add each single proposal that was made to the list, regardless of how impossible it would be. "Let everybody dream a little" kind of thing ;)

In the unlikely event that anyone Spanish is thinking "Hmm... I'd love to vote for MJ Hibbett, but it's not like him to travel hundreds of miles just for the sake of doing a gig, least of all in a country he really really really likes" please be aware that I have my passport ready and a whole PURSE full of Holiday Euros to spend!

You´re a great man, Mr. Hibbett.

The Sunbathers were a little surprised and extremely flattered to see ourselves on the International list. Unlike Mr Hibbett I DON'T have a passport, but I'd be willing to get one...
