Just to say that I have a ticket to Jeff Mangum's ATP weekender and now find out it has been put back to March. Butlins have already replaced it with a 90s boy band weekender. I've put calls into ATP and Butlins for more explanation other than the usual 'due to unforeseen etc...etc.'

Here's a story I've written on it...i'll update with butlins and ATP quotes when/if they come in.

Sad for those that can't make the new dates (march 9-11) Luckily I can but there will be a few that can't.

Here's the ATP statement - with very little detail about the real reason.

911 AND Damage?

REALLY?

This is basically just ATP but with some bands I've seen on the TV, isn't it?
AWESOME.

i heard they cancelled cause they had about 1,800 tickets that still hadn't sold which is a lot with the date getting so close.

I might actually now be able to go, so on a purely selfish note I'm quite pleased they rescheduled. Gutted about the Mountain Goats pulling out though.

Have they still not released any official/semi-official info about why they cancelled it? Weird.

They haven't, but the more they refute (Butlins not double booking, Jeff Mangum didn't prompt the cancellation), the more people will presume that it is down to a lack of sales.

I love ATP, and was (and indeed still am) due to go to this one, but the last couple I've been to (Matt Groening and Animal Collective) have been by no means full. I think it's partly their fault, by putting too much on and charging more than people can reasonably regularly afford, but it's still a shame.
