People! The first and possibly only issue of my new zine Bye Bye, Duffel Boy is currently being printed! It includes interviews with Stuart Indietracks, Jam on Bread, the mighty Horowitz, and the Hull Adelphi owner/manager Paul Jackson, and features about The Deirdres, perfect pop music and typography, the meaning of Sarah Records in 2009, and waking up on someone's floor the morning after a really good popshow.

It should be available at Indietracks next weekend and after that through the Caramel distro.

i can't believe someone named a fanzine after something someone shouted at me at leicester vs crystal palace game. i suppose it's a better title than, "fuck off, twat." which someone also said to me at the football one.

looking forward to reading this, put me one aside for indietracks yeah?

I'd also love to reserve one if possible, very much looking forward to reading it, and hope it's not a one off.

Thankyou all for your kind words of support. I'll try and remember to reserve copies for them what's asked.

I now have a few copies of the zine, so I'll take them to Birmingham with me for the Smittens popshow tomorrow night.

Read this on the train back this morning. It's all very good, but the piece on The Deirdres is particularly special.

Everyone should buy a copy, really.

It's really great, isn't it? God knows how many conversations we've had about that band in those 18 months or whatever that we knew them but that piece just sums it all up so beautifully. And it's not nostalgic or anything, but hopeful and joyous and everything that those Deirdres were about.

Well done Mr Green sir. Just read your excellent fanzine in the car on the way home from indietracks. When I bought it from you I said I would see you playing later, but had no chance of getting in to that Church, so wandered around drinking in the rain instead!

I tried to find a copy at the merch stall and couldn't! Maybe they sold out, if you make more can you keep hold of a copy for me Pete? I've heard only good things and would like to read it.

They sold out on the Saturday! He'll be sending in some copies to Caramel so us who didn't act quickly can soon get them from there. :-)

it's such a brilliant fanzine- heartfelt and necessary- if anyone needs any convincing of why indietracks matters to people or why a love of indiepop isn't something to be ashamed of this solid gold artefact d'pop ought to be smacked 'round the back of their heads repeatedly until they understand

pete's created something truly special, a manifesto of sorts that's convinced a jaded old reprobate like me that 'it' (indiepop, life, the universe, you, me, them, everyone, everything, right now) matters and that it's worth it and yadda yadda yadda

the love letter to the deirdres toward the end is just about the most perfect thing

truly a thing of genuine beauty and fire
