These are daytime temperatures.... It'll be much cooler at night. I have made this mistake.

Thanks heidisuperhero, we checked the place out in May. You are quite right it's a great café. Ran by the owner's mum.. she is a star, a truly lovely woman.

Re: Who's camping?

We've never had to park more than 100 yards from our tent. I'm OK about paying a bit extra for car on site - I thought that was introduced last year. It is luxury camping in my opinion, worth the money, plenty of facilities. I don't think I'll ever go back to Reading after Indietracks... Couldn't a...

Re: Friday Morning Queues?

Hi Barto, thanks for the heads up, my wife and I stayed there during May just to check it out so we are familiar with the layout and how things work.... we had a good time and found the campsite to be very well run.

Cheers

Friday Morning Queues?

First time camping.... does a queue build up on the road outside Golden Valley before the site opens at 11am?

Re: Newby - Advice

Old newbies here also, we stayed at Golden Valley in May to see what it's like.

TBH i wouldn't listen to the negative accounts, the place is well run, the staff friendly. The bacon butties are fine!
I've been to many festivals over the years.. this should be a doddle :)

Re: Who's camping?

Free market economy?.... I agree with you Dan, as I said my initial reaction was... you cheeky bleeders! I calculated the normal price on their website, only to discover a 50% increase over that weekend. I've gotten over it now, didn't take much effort In fact we spent a couple of nights there last ...

Re: Who's camping?

Just booked my camping. They sent an email confirmation with this little nugget: The Indie Tracks event and prices are different to our everyday camping pricing; this is due to large mass of festival goers so we have to stop family leisure weekend holidays to cater for indie tracks 1. They don't "h...

I have just paid my deposit for camping at Golden Valley, do they ramp up the price for this weekend.

It would be interesting to hear what others have been charged
