Re: Your Indietracks 2010 Wishlist

Belle and Sebastian to headline? Or is that taking this wishlist too far?

I can't get that idea out of my head now though!

Re: Coronation Street compilation

But absolutely top marks for the reggae version of the theme tune! That has put a big smile on my fa...

Just been enjoying a good listen to The Monorals "Surf 4 Fuzz EP" - the gameboy mix of one the songs especially put a smile on my face!

Me and my band are not doing any more English gigs for a while - mainly because nobody seems to come to them any more! Maybe after the album.
That's a shame Phil. I was thinking recently it was about time I came to one of your shows!

Re: Camera Obscura

I saw Camera Obscura last night at Shepherds Bush Empire - they were fantastic! It is really striking how bright the sound is with the live percussion / brass players. The early song "Pen and Notebook" really stood out for me, as did the excellent "James" off the most recent album. I must try to lea...

Re: C90 Cassette pairings

The "beery lads" thing is something that has always bothered me about The Stone Roses (and probably The Happy Mondays) - In some ways you can trace the awful mid-90s ladmania (and associated years of shit music) right back to them. Re: C90 Cassette pairings

I absolutely loved the Stone Roses for a few years, collected all their records, and even had both ears pierced with little hoops like Ian Brown. Oh yes - I was a fan / really sad (delete as you see fit). At the time it just felt to me like everything up to and including the first album had been spr...

My favourite for a long time had Psychocandy on side A and The Stone Roses on side B. That tape got some serious playing time!
