Re: 2017! What a year

It was great again as usual! I'm still completely exhausted now though... Thank you so much to every one involved in organising/running it! <3 <3 <3 My highlights: Monkey Swallows The Universe doing a Slow Down Tallahassee cover - very emotional but very lovely. Cola Jet Set and Lucky Soul - I enjoy...

Re: The weather pessimism thread

Current reports suggest a biblical deluge in the early hours of Saturday morning. Why oh why am I camping again this year? Otherwise maybe a few showers during Sunday. Don't worry, our tent will keep you dry! Anyway the deluge has now moved to Friday evening - just in time for all the bands on the ...

Re: Doctor Who

This is really making me laugh a lot - somebody's response to an angry broflake's rant about a TARDIS full of bras (to the tune of Yellow Submarine): On the planet where I was born Lived a Doctor who sailed through time And she told us of her life In a Tardis full of bras WE ALL LIVE IN A TARDIS FUL...

Haiku Salut are doing the music for a thing about Ada Lovelace that sounds cool. There's a kickstarter to fund it:

Re: Vegan & Vegetarian Food

I just saw a report on the news about robots milking cows and I've decided to become vegan. Surely this goes against everything we understand about tonieee and robots. Actually the robot was the good bit. They were selling it as being beneficial to the cows quality of life. To emphasize this they s...

Re: Indiepop high points 2007-2017

That's a great article Pete. At about three quarters of the way through I was thinking "he's not written about Stoke!" and was going to come here and admonish you about it but then you made it more than alright at the end. I may have to disagree with you about the best gig ever - that for me would b...

Re: Joyce Sims

She was on Sleeping Bag records, I was going to say that all my records are on London/FFRR but when I checked it does say Sleeping Bag Records on them - it looks like London did the UK releases. recorded with Kurtis Mantronik Someone else I used to like but haven't listened to in years! Joyce Sims

I really love Joyce Sims to bits but I've not even thought about her for years but due to a reorganization of my record collection because of buying new shelves I came across my Joyce Sims records the other day. This morning I was wondering what she's up to now and looked her up on t'net and found o...

Not that I know of - I'm quite busy though: I have a charity fund raising thing for Ralph's band on Saturday evening and an All Ashore! practice on Sunday evening.

Re: Sheffield

I'm going down without the app anyway - I've spoken to Mabbs and he's doing the same. I can't see them turning people away. I've never known Bungalows to have tickets to get in before. There's also a talk at Bishops House about Orkney archaeology I wonder if my next door neighbour's involved with th...
