Re: Sheffield

It was good. The venue's not so great and the place was so noisy I couldn't hear the folky bloke who was second at all but I really enjoyed both Ian's band and the headliners (the names of both I've forgotten). I'm playing some records at Tonearm Vinyl on Saturday afternoon and there's some bands on...

Require fun this coming Thursday? I'm playing a set at a café in Crosspool (so don't come to that, etc etc).

That sounds like it'll be nice.

If you didn't know, this has now been postponed until May...
I didn't know. Well, that just leaves Desperate Journalist or John Shuttleworth then.
And you!

Thanks for letting me know Dan.

Re: Sheffield

Tiredness has got the better of me and I'm not going to make it out tonight - I really, really want to go but I'm incapable :-(.

Does anybody fancy going to see Trudy And The Romance and Seamonsters at Bungalows And Bears on Thursday?

I didn't know about it! I would really like to go - I shouldn't do cost I'm really knackered because of a combination of: 1. two days of heavy drinking in that London 2. clocks going forward meaning the unspeakable hour I have to get up for work becomes even more unspeakable 3. child deciding that l...

Re: 23-26 March, London - Fortuna POP! - Twenty Years Of Trouble

Does anybody know anywhere that does decent vegan food near the Islington Assembly Hall? It depends how near is near, but there's the Indian Veg buffet not very far away. I've not been myself yet for some reason, but it's been highly recommended to me by people. I'd have thought at least some of th...

I wish this was closer to home - it's a fantastic line up!

And I love the poster - it's the cover of Childhood's End isn't it? It looks like the edition I read from the school library - I have very fond memories of it.

Ooh I didn't know about that. How easy is Preston to get to/back from?

Are you coming out tomorrow night to see us and Milky Wimpshake?

I don't know the specifics but I'm guessing that previously the Facebook event was on the Old Crown's account and now Mabbs is in charge he's had to create a new one.

Sheffield, 9th Feb: Milky Wimpshake/Rosey PM/All Ashore!

This is part of Milky Wimpshake's 20th anniversary of Bus Route To Your Heart tour which is very exciting! I don't know much about Rosey PM but you can listen to them here and they sound jolly good: https://soundcloud.com/roseypm And it's the first gig for All Ashore! who are my new band and are pre...

Re: Sheffield

Dobbie's going to come up to Walkley about nine for a pint or two. He fancies going to the Hillsborough Hotel - is that locally enough for you? Otherwise I guess the Blake? The Beer Co shuts at ten doesn't it? So we'd have to leave almost as soon as he got there.
