Re: Haiku Salut

Haiku Salut are doing the music for a thing about Ada Lovelace that sounds cool. There's a kickstarter to fund it:

Re: Vegan & Vegetarian Food

I just saw a report on the news about robots milking cows and I've decided to become vegan. Surely this goes against everything we understand about tonieee and robots. Actually the robot was the good bit. They were selling it as being beneficial to the cows quality of life. To emphasize this they s...

Re: Indiepop high points 2007-2017

That's a great article Pete. At about three quarters of the way through I was thinking "he's not written about Stoke!" and was going to come here and admonish you about it but then you made it more than alright at the end. I may have to disagree with you about the best gig ever - that for me would b...

Re: Joyce Sims

She was on Sleeping Bag records, I was going to say that all my records are on London/FFRR but when I checked it does say Sleeping Bag Records on them - it looks like London did the UK releases. recorded with Kurtis Mantronik Someone else I used to like but haven't listened to in years! Unfortunate...

Joyce Sims

I really love Joyce Sims to bits but I've not even thought about her for years but due to a reorganization of my record collection because of buying new shelves I came across my Joyce Sims records the other day. This morning I was wondering what she's up to now and looked her up on t'net and found o...

Owt happening this weekend?
Not that I know of - I'm quite busy though: I have a charity fund raising thing for Ralph's band on Saturday evening and an All Ashore! practice on Sunday evening.

Re: Sheffield

Oh yeah, you were saying. Ken Dash, the guy's name is. That's not him but I bet he works with him - can't be that many Orkneyologists in Sheffield! Was it good? How was the gig then? Glad you made it in! Yes. I enjoyed it. Missed Rosey PM but the second (Katie Phlegm and the Moonbathers I think the...

Re: Sheffield

I'm going down without the app anyway - I've spoken to Mabbs and he's doing the same. I can't see them turning people away. I've never known Bungalows to have tickets to get in before. There's also a talk at Bishops House about Orkney archaeology I wonder if my next door neighbour's involved with th...

Re: Sheffield

Aargh that's tonight isn't it....I'd thought about it, then got irked by having to download some app or other to get tickets. Or something. Oh. I just assumed it was free to get in like every other gig I've been to at Bungalows. Having to download an app to go to a gig does sound excessively irksom...

Re: Sheffield

It was good. The venue's not so great and the place was so noisy I couldn't hear the folky bloke who was second at all but I really enjoyed both Ian's band and the headliners (the names of both I've forgotten). I'm playing some records at Tonearm Vinyl on Saturday afternoon and there's some bands on...
