Re: TV Quick: talk about things on telly succinctly

I have been watching the last 10 or so minutes or Deal or No Deal (before Countdown starts) for a very long time, and pride myself on both not understanding and not wanting to understand what the hell is happening. It looks like tremendous fun though and the ridiculousness of Noel Edmonds amuses me ...

Re: Windows 8/Windows 10

There should be a "Quick Access" location on the left hand pane, that will show recent files and frequent folders. Thanks. I've got that but it's just showing really generic stuff like 'Documents' and 'Downloads'. Maybe it needs a bit longer to learn! If you actually left click on Quick Access rath...

Re: 'Orrors

I watched "And Soon The Darkness" last night. Written by Brian "The Professionals" Clemens and Terry "Exterminate!" Nation, and starring (briefly) Frank Spencer's wife. I wasn't expecting much, but it was very creepy and claustrophobic despite beautifully shot wide open French vistas. The un-subtitl...

Re: Panini World Cup stickers - swapsies!

I can't help you on any of those swapsies, but can we use this thread to wax lyrical and sentimentalise about panini in general? Good. During the late 70s stroke early 80s my elder brother and I shared a room, since my younger brother had recently been born. We had bunk beds so we had enough room fo...

Re: Tour de France

Anyone watching? It's too bad Chritopher Froome is so good, I was hoping for a more exciting Tour. I'm still enjoying watching to see how the Dutch guys (Mollema and Ten Dam) are doing, and there are some good mountains still coming, up until the very last day (well, the last day before Paris). I d...

Re: I want to marry Charlie Brooker

It was a decent enough story, genuinely creepy and with a nice twist, but the screaming was really annoying. He should watch a bit more vintage tales of the unexpected, where they usually just do a giant scream at the end. No-one likes constant screaming.
