I went there back in October! They do still have a few records but it's not much to speak of really.

The bloke who runs that is the shyest man in the world. He sells most of his stuff on ebay now.

"Cheers mate, cheers mate, thanks a lot"

Bless him. I got lots of great records from that shop. Is he still called Sonic Sounds online?

I think so, yeah.

I always have happy memories of that shop. Apart from trying to get past someone in the aisle. If there's more than five people in there you can't move.

Amazing Lincolnshire fact!

Before it was altered by the addition of bypasses, the A16 originally comprised five 16-mile stretches between the six key towns along its route. The distances from Grimsby to Louth, Louth to Spilsby, Spilsby to Boston, Boston to Spalding, and Spalding to Stamford are all 16 miles.

I came across a weird thing the other day.

If you go to this site http://swallowpc.co.uk/, click on the history bit, and the scroll down to the boxout where it says 'The Final Class', four of my relatives are listed in that tiny school.

I'll happily chip in!

I didn't know it was the same Applebys who ran the coaches.

Me neither!

Applebys buses used to take me to school. Why on earth didn't they sell us ice creams each morning. Idiots.

The Engine Shed is quite a big venue, Sandy. It was built right next to the University when it expanded so much.

Lincoln's really beautiful. You'll love it.

thanks, sam! i'm going to manchester the night before and was thinking of spending the day in manchester before going to lincoln in the evening, but if it's so pretty i'm going to spend the day there instead.

shame about that venue being so big, but i guess that's what i get for being into a big-ish band!

the band is the cribs and i'm going on the 3rd of october (and manchester on the 2nd) i know it's ages away, but tickets for these gigs are selling out super quickly so i'm getting all ready now. all the downstairs standing tickets for manchester are already gone! do you think you might be in town, jonny?

Well, it's not massive. But it quite big for a Lincoln venue. It's right on Brayford Pool, though, so it's in a lovely spot.

Brilliant. What better way to mark it than "A Magical Mystery Tour of Lincolnshire in Song @ Corringham Village Hall (John Conolly and Better Late Than Naked)."

Better Late Than Naked. What a band name. Sorry, bad name.
