Can any Germans (or anyone else) in the audience let me know what Heidelberg is like?

In a nutshell:
Small but picturesque. Lots of students, lots of pubs which offer their own home-brewed beer.
It's really worth a visit for a couple of days.
There is a club called 'Karlstorbahnhof' which feeds the local indie and jazz music community with gigs. Never been in there though.

Unfortunately this is all I know about this city.

Any tips on what to do / where to go when in Frankfurt? Off there for a long weekend soon.
