It was the end of the year for me today. I've now completed 4 out of 6 years. I'm rather pleased that I've managed to stick with this part-time degree lark for this long. The next 2 years will be tough though.

Over halfway through. Congratulations indeed. Part-time degree going is rough stuff. The completion cannot come soon enough! Good luck!

Weird new portal system is making everyone confused, but I'm edit: now 100% certain that I've received a First as my degree result. Normally I'd be ecstatic but my mum is in hospital since yesterday and I'm really worried. I will celebrate at some point later though. Feels really weird it's all done... sure, I'm doing an MA in Popular Cultures next year but it's not the same. I will actually miss quite a few of my classmates.

Edit: Although it's pretty blimmin' good. I did set my goal for my last year of uni to get a First and I am proud of myself for doing it.

Thanks Sam! It's sinking in now and I'm feeling really happy.

They should know if she requires surgery this afternoon, hopefully.

Ooh! I'm doing an MA in October. I didn't think I'd get on it, so I'm pretty chuffed.

Ooh! What will your MA be in?

I'm still umming and ahhing about doing the final 60 credits of my MA with a rubbish university, or going back and doing 120 credits with a more prestigious one. I have a place on both courses - I just have decide whether it's worth doing a whole year's extra work for prestige alone.

It's in Interpretation, Representation and Heritage, which is all about museums and exhibitions and things, the best way to approach them and how you can make them appeal to people, etc.

I'm doing it learning at home and part time alongside my (full time) job, so it's likely to be pretty hard work and quite stressful, but I'm looking forward to it, although it hasn't really sunk in yet!

Anyone from UCL (University College of London)? I'm doing my international year there, in the Spanish and Latin American Department. Just three weeks to go, I'm really looking forward to it.
