mailorder shops around the world

Post by tekno_alice » Mon Jan 21, 2008 9:00 pm

Ok, so I'm looking into finding mailorder shops around the world to stock the happy robots releases, so far sweden seems to be sorted, but I'm struggling to find decent shops elsewhere. Has anyones got good suggestions for places that would be good for me to try? I'm really wanting to get somewhere in the US (we can't use Darla) and Japan and in mainland Europe. Preferably the shop would be friendly to electronic pop music.
Thanks!

tell me how good it is / to wake from a bad dream / and have someone there and I will tell you / how butterfly wings stay dry in the rain

For the US, you should try Tone Vendor. Dan, who runs it, is a lovely boy and they stock all sorts of indiepop/electropop stuff, I think.

And what about Apple Crumble in Japan? Not sure if they do electropop but they are very friendly and they have a lovely real shop as well so it's definitely worth emailing them.

Apple Crumble is a good call. You might want to check out beethobear, he sells stuff in Taipei and seems like a nice enough fella.

Woah, is that place still going? I remember their NME ads from years ago...

I got a mint condition copy of 'More Tales From The City' from there. They keep sending me updates too. But only for more BOHJ stuff.

Vinyl Tap is really good. I bought the Velodrome 2000 album from there a bit ago and they were sending me all these sweet emails with updates on my order. Aw. They're pretty cheap too.
