Any name containing 'Crockett' should certainly not be used as a euphemism for penis...

and yet having one's chap thoughtfully described as resembling a 'croquet mallet' is a dear sentiment

but 'crockett', perhaps not

or 'tubbs'

I wouldn't like to have the little longfellow compared to a 'croquet potato' either

when one's member resembles nothing more than a meagre serving of mash covered in orange breadcrumbs it really is the limit

(I'm overtired)

can one still purchase croquet potatoes?

have I made a terrible slip and gone and expressed myself over the heads of our dear young readers?

THis kind of reminds me of one time when I was in school. I was in, I think, geography, but, I can't be certain of that...3 girls that were sitting near me were whispering about someone they had 'accidentally' seen naked (you had to walk past the boys changing rooms to get to the rom where the class was). They were talking quietly as they didn't want to be heard by the teacher...one of the girls was a little slow at getting what they were talking about....they were trying to be subtle, using euphanisms....then, the penny dropped...and the third girl, forgetting to whisper exclaimed 'oh!! You mean his COCK!!!'

If we're talking those mashed potatoes tubes with breadcrumbs on the outside and not penises, then yes I think you can get them in supermarkets. I was quite addicted to them as a child. Croquet potatoes that is, not penises.
Just be nice to me.

I used to like them swimming in beans and I'd chug on down six or seven of 'em at a sitting

I have no idea what I'm referring to

Andy - we've got some potato croquettes in our freezer. You're welcome to come round and grill them.

I love them. But they're terribly bad with you. I'm sure I could stretch to a crispy pancake, too.

Did you know they're no longer making crispy pancakes? I suppose it's got something to do with those Brussels bureaucrats claiming expenses for charity, or something.

Here you go. I don't know if it's the best place but it's a place and I've used it and it's good.

Don't think so - maybe we could make a sort of home section and move the 'things for the house' thread from Glamorak into that? Then there could also be threads about home maintenance and decoration, moving house etc? I might move at the end of the year or the beginnning of next so it may come in handy then!

I haven't eaten, or even thought about, crispy pancakes for about twenty years, but now I want one. damn.

I'm maybe speaking out of turn as someone who is neither an admin nor a moderator, but does Anorak really need a 36th sub-forum? Personally I think we've already got too many.

I thought everyone just used 'View new posts' (and occasionally 'View active topics')...

That's what I do, but mainly because there are so many sub-forums that I don't know where a lot of the threads are.

This is probably a stupid almost question... but I'm not sure I get what you see from "new posts" that you don't from "active topics" or vice versa... they always seem to show me the same stuff.
