it's not true. It was a story put out when scrabble released a misleading press release about a new separate version of scrabble

Thank goodness for that!
Like others hither and yon, I fanny around at music - my band is always on the look out for other bands to split releases with. Any cockamamie idea considered - cassette, 7" vinyl, yellow flexi disc, wax cylinder and shellac 78s. PM me. ; - )

An England-only version of the game will allow proper nouns, backward words, and other nonsense. But the original continues to prohibit proper nouns. You can relax.
(I think they mean UK)

That's beautiful.

Wordfeud has stopped working on my phone. I reinstalled it last night but it keeps coming up with "connection error". Gaaaarrrgh!

That is a thing of true beauty.

I've been playing Words with Friends on my phone. Is that not what the kids are using these days? I would like to play with all y'all.

I used to play Scrabble with friends last year, in french, but they're all dead.
...Okay, they're not dead, but they said they had better to do.

I still play Wordfeud against this one guy who lives on a Caribbean Island and has just been hitting 'rematch' after every game we've played for 2+ years now. I was way ahead in our most recent game, but he managed to land two incredible moves right at the end, scoring huge points with each of them: JAPES / HUMBLERS and SKIORING (across two triple-word scores). Even freakier - they both resulted in the exact same score, 166 points each. He won 570 - 404.

I just needed to tell somebody.
