Wow - Ramsgate! Is there a minimum age limit for this, please?

EDIT: I've just heard from Tim at the venue that there isn't, in case anyone else was wondering. No? Just me then...

So, there was the announcement of all the four Italian solo shows for Elizabeth in November, with Ola from Making Marks.

21st Rome

23rd Milan

I'm really looking forward to this!

It's odd seeing Allo Darlin' outside Sheffield, although I don't consider the Nottingham Indiepop all-dayer as being outside Sheffield as everyone I've ever seen at a Sheffield gig was there.

When Allo Darlin' play Sheffield the atmosphere is electric. Every word Elizabeth sings is sung back to her at twice the volume. It feels like a home town gig, although I've no idea why as I don't believe any of the band members have any connection with the place. Neither do I. I wasn't born there, I don't live there, it's just one of the places I have to travel to as no one plays my home town.

They were great in Leeds on Monday. The Belgrave Music Hall is a fantastic venue (go if you get the chance, it really is good) and there was a good turn out who were very appreciative. It was a good gig, but it wasn't an Allo Darlin' Sheffield gig.

They ended with a barnstorming rendition of Neil Armstrong, dedicated to Lou Reed. It's Sister Ray. And it's so obviously Sister Ray I just can't believe I never heard that in it before. The outro on Monday was well worthy of the comparison.

Hello! Just a quick heads up that we have put our tote bags for sale on our bandcamp site, you can buy them on their own for 7 quid, with two 7" for 10 quid, or with a tee shirt for 12 quid. But we're posting our last orders before Christmas on Thursday 28 November, so order today or tomorrow to get them.

That's it, thanks!

Good session versions of 'Capricornia' and 'Darren' from last year were played on Gideon Coe's programme last night. They'll be up here for the next week or so: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03zy1d9
Plenty of other good stuff that you've doubtless heard already from Field Mice, Broadcast, Withered Hand, etc, so worth a general trawl as well.

Interesting chat with Elizabeth here, partly about the new album, mostly about the move: http://consequenceofsound.net/aux-out/a ... -a-record/

Flyers were handed out at the (excellent) London gig last night.

Not sure if it means that Tigercats and Making Marks are supporting on whole tour, which would be ace.

Making Marks are - not Tigercats in Nottingham, I don't believe.

I'm going to be the person that complains about them not playing my town. Surprised as much as anything that they're not playing Glasgow.

When they did a mini-tour last October, I think they missed out Scotland completely.

So isn't the fact that they are playing either Edinburgh or Glasgow something of an improvement on that?

I see that additional support for the Edinburgh gig (apart from Making Marks) is the rather good Tuff Love.

It is. Of course. Already have tickets for Edinburgh (the fact it's on a Saturday is a blessing too) and looking forward to seeing Tuff Love again.

I only saw Tuff Love for the first time when you put them on with a Spook School, just after Indietracks. Really liked them there - and then by chance saw them again with JoGru later in the week. Liked their EP as well.

I am curious about the venue for the AD gig - Henderson Halls - at the foot of Leith Walk. I have never heard of this place!
