CD pressing and duplication

Post by RITH » Tue Jun 26, 2012 09:02

Hello! What's a good place for cheap but decent CD duplication for small runs?

Also, what's the easiest way to 'master' a compilation CD (in other worths: how do I make sure one song doesn't sound a LOT louder than the next)?

I always use Short Run, here: http://www.short-run.co.uk/

Good prices, extremely fast delivery, very very helpful too!

Dennis, I was asking very similar questions not so long ago and got a lot of help here:

Thanks!

Murray, it seems like your link is bringing me back to this topic here. Or is that just me?

Slightly different question -

I just need to buy a batch of blank CDs with cases, preferably the card slip cases, so I can burn some copies of an EP and glue the cover on.

Where can I get that? Any idea?

Short Run do CDrs on spindles, OR printed card sleeves. Might be worth giving them a call/email?
I am struck speechless by the nape of your neck.

You can get a spindle of CDRs from pretty much anywhere (supermarkets, stationers, etc). There's probably physical shops that sell CD sleeves (maybe a decent independent record store; I dunno if you have any there), but there's plenty of online options (eg http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25-CD-Cardboa ... 35d4be3446)
