Yeah, those are great. Do you know who took them?

I'm afraid not - someone posted them on lastfm but there's no mention of who the photographer was.

Without hearing a note yet, I'm already kinda excited for a song called "Summertime Clothes."

I know what you mean! I get excited about song titles too. 'Summertime Clothes' is a good one, and I like the sound of a song called 'No More Runnin' too, for some reason.

Yeah, I like how some song titles can just conjure a feeling. I imagine my heartbeat slowing down into a kind of woozy daze for "No More Runnin," which is sort of how more than a few Animal Collective songs work on me...

I can't believe you two aren't excited about "Lion in a Coma"!

What's wrong with you?

That one too. But I want the song to include an emotional wake-up-from-the-coma scene (perhaps with a nice Avey Tare scream). Otherwise, a lion in a coma, and just staying in a coma, is kind of sad.

That'll put a lion in a coma for sure.

I'm seriously excited about the new album. I read a review of it in Uncut yesterday, and it sounds AMAZING!

Oh gosh, my friend has bagged a couple of tickets for a "listening party" for the new record this Wednesday. Colour me happy!

The cover sort of makes me sick, but in a good way, if you know what I mean? Like, I never thought a squashed strawberry and a bit of colour could have that effect on me. Anyway, a favourite record of 2007, for sure.

Oh, Animal Collective, they've won my heart. I am going to try to get tickets for their gig in London in January, because... if I don't get tickets, I will probably cry a little inside and attempt to drown my sorrows in sugar. And alcohol. And then more sugar. And we wouldn't want that!

I think Feels is my favourite, though I do love EVERYTHING ELSE too. Water Curses was better than Strawberry Jam, I thought.

Not liking Sung Tongs is kind of understandable after the first few songs, as the songs are much further from straightforward pop. That said, how awesome is Winter's Love?!

The new album cover is RUBBISH. I'm not a huge fan of their artwork generally, but that is DREADFUL.

How was this, by the way? I've heard the recorded versions of Brothersport and My Girls now, and they're breathtaking.

Agreed about the new album cover - it's pretty appalling.

I didn't go because the ticket didn't come with a +1 and I didn't exactly want to go on my own.

It looks like a right barrel of laughs.

Anyway, how can you hate an album cover that moves?
