Got to be 'Horses' if you want to start with an album.

Chestnut Road, from Toulouse, France, are fucking great

proper mid-90s uk-style pop-punk, a la Hooton 3 Car, China Drum, Broccoli, etc

really, REALLY good fun

Anyone else heard this?

Technically NOT an Operation Ivy reunion but probably the closest thing to it. Not as good as Op Ivy but not bad.

i'll be interested to hear that

i can't really listen to ska-punk any more, beyond certain Clash hits, the Bosstones and Op Ivy... but still, i'm intrigued by that one...

guys, guys, can I change the title of this thread to the name of this new compilation?

anorak is pretty much flatlining in terms of new members signing up and, let's face it, anyone posting. this could be a gamechanger, people.

I just joined today though fortunately not on the back of this compilation, which makes me want to cut my ears off and push them up my arsehole. I'm looking to start a band in Leicester (or nearby) if anyone's after a drummer?

I found out this Italian band just a few days ago, they are from my hometown and I had never listened to them, shame on me, anyway they are damn good and fit with this topic.

yeh, The Sensibles are great. they played in Stoke and Leicester recently - just something to do for a weekend - so we're trying to persuade them to come back over
