I'm always unsure whether to feel sympathy for Morrissey or not, if The Smiths reformed I'd pay pretty much any amount of money to see them, but I have no interest in their solo stuff anymore they've all aged terribly.

It does seem to go against every publishing rule ever. No review copies either. I'm with you.

Yeah, that and the fact that a couple of senior Eds at Penguin appear to have gone 'Oh, are we publishing Morrissey's autobiog? ooh, that's news....' Ahem.
I noticed with considerable alarm last night though that sideways on, Wayne Rooney and Moz appear to be morphing into one another...

I stand corrected about the biog then! (still waiting to hear back from old chum who's a Penguin ed to find out what went on...)

And I'm more surprised that that Tumlbr thing didn't get a cease and desist from Schulz's lot rather than the Smiths end, as far as copyright infringement went. Hurrah for it staying up though.

pull his finger and you get a second volume of his autobiography exclusively available in a limited yet persistent edition of a warm savoury mist

Morrissey walked past me in the street when I was on holidays in LA a few weeks ago.

AA Gill's review of Morrissey's auobiography has won something called Hatchet Job of the Year:

I haven't read Morrissey's autobiography or AA Gill's review of it, but I expect they pretty much deserve each other.

I did. I really thought it was never going to end. I'd been looking forward to it so much and well and pfeh! what a letdown. At least Luke Haines was funny in his bitterness.

It's the only gig ever I could conceivably take my mum to...
And we just can't wait to make more mistakes and to fluff our breaks, and to stuff our faces with cake.
