Actually, having listened to it a couple more times, I think I've sold this a bit short. I do wish they'd pack it in with that guitar though.

That's completely fantastic. All we can hope for is that they accidentally take over the world.

Where misogyny meets intelligence and irony keels over, part 132,235,467; Lee Adcock on Alanna JG on Facebook on the cunts on Facebook on Alanna on Drowned in Sound. (This is getting a bit difficult to hold in the mind. I think I may need a lie down.)

Guess what? Alanna wipes the fucking floor with them. Again. (As if this even needs to be said)

i for one always enjoy seeing 'misogynists' described as 'cunts'. irony indeed.

It isn't really used in a misogynistic sense in this country so I don't tend to think of it like that, although I've always hated the way Americans often use the word. However, given the context, 'ironic' is fair enough. On the plus side, I'm always looking for new and increasingly foolish ways in which I can mangle the English language, so I think I can count this as a small victory.

Meredith Graves of Perfect Pussy:
I really like, this is another current band that I can talk about, I love Joanna Gruesome. Have you heard Joanna Gruesome? They are fucking awesome, we played shows with them at CMJ and (gets excited, gasps) It’s on the books, I can say this now, I forgot! We are doing a split 7″ with Joanna Gruesome.

All tracks from the Trust Fund split are being given away for free on Soundcloud:

http://diymag.com/2014/09/15/listen-in- ... 12-release

If you go to the individual track pages, there's a button to download (one of the Trust Fund tracks doesn't work though). Can't embed for some reason.

JG seem to be getting better and better - 'Coffee Implosion' is fucking stunning.

Last Year is a pretty damn good tune - looking forward to Peanut Butter when it's out.
