Will you also have the split with Eureka California available at IT, or is that one not done yet?

there was a slim chance we might have got them, but by this stage it looks like they're still somewhere over the atlantic, i'm afraid. there's been some CRAZY delays with that one... i'll explain it all at indietracks!

the BUZZorHOWL split is available online! you can buy it from these places:

http://goodgriefliverpool.bandcamp.com/merch
http://www.drunkensailorrecords.co.uk/
http://www.bosstuneage.bigcartel.com/

...or just pick it up at a show. we're also hoping to have the Eureka California split available online within the next week or so.

cheers!

It really is crazy good.

Good Grief are easily one of the best bands playing live right now, they're so great.

you guys are far too nice. thank you!

in other news, the Eureka California split 7"s are finally here! they were our tour buddies way back in april - an incredible band and the BEST people. if you like stuff like classic-era Guided By Voices, Pavement, Butterglory, Boyracer... even some of the beachpop stuff that's been popular lately, you'll fucking love em as much as we do

Image

it's a split release between Happy Happy Birthday To Me, Rok Lok and strictly no capital letters, who are all thoroughly excellent people as well. plus it's got an awesome sleeve as designed by anorak's own a fog of ideas, lovingly screen-printed by HHBTM's Mike Turner

UK folks, you can order it through our bandcamp, although you'd also make Andy at sncl's day if you ordered from him, so why not give that a try?

US folks, get em from Rok Lok or HHBTM... or just go see Eureka California on one of their frequent tours and get it from them. awesome, awesome band.

was this too much info? possibly. ah well, i'll shurrup now

I managed to get one of these from Mike at Indietracks. Two great bands & a lovely looking record (did Andy draw that?). Haven't found time to listen to it yet though, so this post is SOMEWHAT pointless.

SHAMELESS CAPITALISM

we've been taking a bit of a break recently, but we move into a new practice room this weekend, and start up rehearsing again once Matiss finally gets back from his epic holiday, then we're gonna start booking shows again. HOORAY!

Eureka California's split with Good Grief is currently available for the bargain price of 50p over at sncl

Obviously i'd prefer it if you bought directly from Good Grief, but heavens, this is cheap. You should defo buy it here while they've still got em.

also:
WE HAVE NEWS!
1. NEW MUSIC! We have new music on its way... a split 7" with the fucking awesome Future Virgins, as part of All In Vinyl's next split singles series.

Our side contains a new song and our cover of Lucinda Williams' Metal Firecracker. Future Virgins' side... well, ok, I don't know anything about that yet because I haven't heard it, but friends who have assure me that it's Very Good. I believe that because I'm a bit in love with their two albums. You should get them (FFO Marked Men, The Briefs, The Records, The Rubinoos, powerpop punk in general).

2. GIGS! We've got a few shows coming up that we have to keep schtum about for now, but one we can announce is that we're playing with mthrfkn Shonen Knife in Liverpool on 4 May! We'll have tix soon too, so shout up if you wanna come. WE'RE VERY EXCITED.

Oh yeah, and 3. we have new shirts in the merch section on our bandcamp page, with a few copies of our Eureka California split still hanging around. So, um, y'know. Buy 'em.
2015's been a quieter year for us, but we've got new songs in the works and we're formulating plans to be busier next year. Ask us to play yr show, or just invite us for a drink or something. We're probably up for it.

Happy holidays, all!

I finally saw Good Grief, supporting Shonen Knife in Liverpool last night. Just wanted to say, I thought you were pretty good!

I don't know whether you do many gigs in Liverpool these days, but will keep an eye out for any future gigs.
Just be nice to me.

Awww thanks! We don't get to play out and about quite as much as we used to - LIFE - but we're still kicking around. Next scheduled Liverpool gig is 9th July at Maguire's...
