Is Dave Neurotic Northampton's finest musical export?

Or is that still Jo Whiley?

Here's the radio hit...

Ok, so he's a bit popular, but I do quite like this even if it's emotionally manipulative...

Toot toot.

Macklemore raises some interesting points there.

Is homosexuality the last great taboo of Hip Hop?

Hmm I wonder what the equivalent for indiepop would be?

Ok so things are getting a little heated for one of my future collaborators. This man was one of my earliest followers on SoundCloud. I’m genuinely excited for his future. I can’t wait to get in a studio with him.

But my god, some people just don't get it...

I am well aware I'm just talking to myself at present.

"So MattH...tell me, who is your favourite living MC?"

That's an easy one - Joey Bada$$. He's from NYC (of course). The ringleader of Pro Era. Affiliated with the Beast Coast movement. He's pretty young. 18 years old. That's right. Born in 1995. Strong hooks. Decent lyrical content. The Pro Era Crew have a real interest in spirituality / consciousness / ascension / chakras / meditation / karma. It's not all drugs / guns / girls. Although that does feature quite heavily. Their main producer is a chap called Chuck Strangers. He's their secret weapon. I must also give a shout out to Capital Steez who sadly passed away in 2012 aged only 19. He almost steals the show on Joey's mixtape '1999'. Here's a link...

Aye. A$AP Rocky is shite. His crew are dull as fuck.

He's made tunes with Skrillex. He name checked RiFF RAFF in one of his tunes just to try and get in with him.

That's not how you do it Mr Rocky,...

Yes, this is great. I love the Pro Era tape.

Also, another track released the other day from Run The Jewels (El-P and Killer Mike), with Big Boi:

I'm glad someone else approves! Pro Era excite me / inspire me more than any other crew or band at the minute.

Like Water is a great track. The visuals are cool as fuck. Capital STEEZ was crazy talented. Taken too soon.

Kool AD, formerly member of Das Racist, dropped a few great mixtapes recently, 63 and Peaceful Solutions in particular. He's one of the few MCs I really like at the moment, his rapping is sometimes a bit surreal but really real.
