Martha (I couldn't find a thread for them, some mistake?)

Post by Trev » Wed May 29, 2013 7:10 pm

I used the chocolate teapot function ('search') and couldn't find a thread dedicated to the straight edge vegan tunesmiths. So here is one. If there is another some wizard can merge them.

The new Martha 7" is available to order now.

It's part of The 100 Club Series on Odd Box.

50 sold on subscription. 10 copies to the band. 40 more on sale now: http://oddboxrecords.com/release.php?id=76

I'm a beautiful sycamore, and I don't have to care about anything anymore.

Ha! Are you referring to my old anecdote about a colleague trying to impress girls by saying "oh go on, murray, say some more of them funny bands you like"? and then beaming at the girl whilst I reel off Rudimentary Peni, Ikons of Filth, Millions of Dead Cops etc like a performing monkey?

If so, well done; you clearly have a very good memory. Even I'd forgotten that, but it's given me a good chuckle on a boring afternoon at work.

Should I have gotten this already? Or am I too impatient?

Currently, I spend approximately six hours each day feeling bummed out that I can't make any of the current Martha/Harry and the Potters tour dates.

can't wait for sunday's london matinee. saw harry & the potters last time they were over: a super-fun live band! i should probably brush up on my h.p. beforehand though, the books aren't as fresh in my memory as they were six years ago. don't want to miss any deep literary references!

well, they're martha (13) on discogs & i'm sure there are more bands/artists going by the name martha whose releases aren't listed there. i look forward to this martha having a 12"/lp release.

matinee show today was ace: more gigs need nerdy girl moshpits.
