There appears to be some doubt about there being a campsite disco this year??? Can anyone shed any light?
The Indietracks twitter said "they don't know yet whether they have permission from the Council as there were noise complaints last year"

We're hoping the campsite will run discos again this year, but we think they're still talking to the local council about the licence. We've suggested some DJs to them anyway. We'll let you know if we hear any more!

If you live close enough to the campsite to hear the disco, you should probably consider renting your house out for the weekend. You could make a killing.

Oh no! Thanks for the info.... any further updates as and when you have them would be greatly appreciated. If the council say yes, I hope it's not too late to get something arranged!

I've got a spare two person tent. Have replied to that status.

I'm just remembering the one year - I think it was 2008, the really hot one - where we'd been given the task of transporting most of the Smittens' equipment down and were in such a panic that we wouldn't be able to fit in our beer cooler and six cases of beer in the car, that I forgot to take a tent. I slept for three nights under my friend's camper van, waking each morning (or rather "coming to" each morning) covered in ants. It was actually quite nice. Apart from the ants.

The very first year we bought a tent from some cash and carry place for about 39p. When we got to Indietracks we unpacked it and it didn't have any poles with it.

That was the year that I tore a tenner up in the middle of the night by mistake and shoved it in my ears to try and block out the noise of The People on the Children's Playground too.
Ah, those pre-war salad days...

I think I managed to turn up without anywhere to stay and slept in a person who shall not be named's flooded tent flap entrance (I'm not sure of the technical term for that)
It was just Saturday and Sunday then, wasn't it? A one night stay over

Going to try and get there a bit earlier this year. Got stuck on the big field with the disco tent last year, was a bit noisy for my daughter.

The campsite disco's are back! It's me Friday night, Sean FPOP! Saturday and Miss Katie Pope Sunday. I'm a right old pauper next to indie royalty. Bring Buckfast yo.
And we just can't wait to make more mistakes and to fluff our breaks, and to stuff our faces with cake.

Annual post.
If you're camping and you're gonna natter all night, book the lower field. Many thanks.

We're camping and we have a new tent so I'm nervous excited about it. Especially as we are going on a camping holiday this year. I really like camping.
