If only we'd got the Labour minority government we were hoping for, then we'd be seeing a twenty per cent cut in our pop music videos instead of the eighty per cent we've ended up with under the Tories :-(.

It's a signpost on the way to pop music being abolished for the under 25s.

Has everybody been watching the Happy Hippie videos in their social media feeds that Miley Cyrus has been doing?

They are the best thing.

Can't work out whether this is a sample of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" or it just sounds a bit like it. It's really good anyway.

I really really really really really like the new Carly Rae Jepson single:

It's not as good as "Call Me Maybe" but then again neither is 99.9% of all human endeavour.
I thought this song was awful when I first heard it on the radio but then drove everyone mad by singing it incessantly for hours afterwards. Sign of a good pop song for me! :D

The whole Carly Rae Jepsen album is great, and that single is not particularly one of the highlights!

The Tinashe album from last year is incredible, this performance makes me sooo happyyy

At work they tend to have Key 103 on in the background which is Manchester's as-generic-as-pop-can-be radio station. But apart from playing boyband shite most of the time, the good thing is I get exposed to the odd gem or two that I'd never normally be exposed to.

These are my two favourites of the moment:

I like that. The preorder for the album looks a touch overpriced though. I can't work out exactly where my £210 is going.

Meanwhile, in "other things I can't work out", I can't work out whether The 1975 are a chart pop band or one of those spuriously titled 'alternative' groups who sound like a chart pop band and actually chart (which to be fair is an acheivement these days). But this is rather good in a "reflective personal crisis ballad" sort of way so it's going in here.

I DJed a wedding recently, and the brief was indie / motown and modern pop. So the following went down brilliantly and I love them!

Bangin' tunes as shit DJ's say!
