Aw, Jonny and I watched Serenity last night, after having seen all of Firefly. I enjoyed it thoroughly, what a great, great film! Also I love my university for having it all in their library.

Joss Whedon's Web musical Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog finally has a premiere date. The 42-minute mini-musical about a lovelorn supervillain, much discussed here at PopWatch, will stream in three 14-minute installments, with the first debuting on July 15 and the others following on the 17th and 19th. They'll stream for free through July 20 at drhorrible.com; after that, it's not clear, though there may be a DVD in the future.

What's all this then?
I'll have a bit of that.
Slap it on in buckets and sew it down with frills.

Hee!
Did Dr Horrible say 'Balls!' at the end?
Poor Dr Horrible.

Alan Tudyk has his charm, but would anybody on anorak honestly pick him over Nathan Fillion?

Words cannot describe how fluttery and swoonsome he makes me feel, particularly in Serenity. I think it's an inherited disorder as my grandmother had the major hots for Han Solo.

Wow, I've just finished watching Firefly. I didn't get on with Buffy at all, so I wasn't expecting much. But wow.
I've been left with urges to wear tight pants, fly spaceships, smuggle stuff off planet, wear brown clothes, and generally be all spacey. (Although mostly I've been left with the urge to sleep with a REALLY high class hooker. Ahem)

oh hello.

I wish I still had this on DVD. I've always got the soundtrack at least.

Haha I've learnt the lyrics to this album completely. I love it so much!

You should pick up the Buffy box set, it's not at all crazily priced on Amazon for the amount of DVDs you get! It's a treat to have.

I can't wait to do my module Televisual Narratives I on Buffy this spring! Had I done it last year, I could have got to do Televisual Narratives II on Firefly this spring too... ah... I might sit in on bits of it anyway because I love it so much! Academic discussion of these things with people who love the shows = amazing.

I hadn't listened to any of it until yesterday when Something to Sing About randomly popped up on itunes. The whole thing's (mostly) brilliant though. It can be quite annoying watching the episode when you have the album because it cuts out some of the songs halfway through, just as they're getting good. Doing that to I'll Never Tell is unforgivable!

I used to have all the Buffy and Angel box sets (though they were mostly bought second-hand over a period of years they were all different shapes and sizes) but I sold them for a bit of cash during my last period of unemployment. Half the idea was that I would be able to buy a nice, neat boxset of the whole lot at some later point. I will, but just not yet.

I get that too.
I also get it from watching Battlestar Galactica.
I had Battlestar Galactica dreams last night!
Watching space telly makes me really want to live on a spaceship and when I turn off the telly and realise that I'm not in fact on a spaceship it makes me really sad.
They should stop using science to make enhanced layers shampoo and build spaceships instead.
Someone should tell them.

I'm on my 11th or 12th episode of Buffy for today.

Maybe I should've left the house at some point. Oh well it's too late now and I might as well watch MORE.

I love crazy dvd box logic.

I keep managing to see the first twenty minutes of that film and missing the rest.

It's actually really good, you should make sure you watch the rest! I wasn't half as keen on the series as I was on the film.
