Re: Thee AHs

thanks Andy! Sorry it really costs that much to ship a record to england from canada. $18 plus cost of mailer. It's a shame canada post is so expensive, really puts people off my mail order business! If there's ever money left over I refund it! Gav's a great guy though, glad you got a tape! I'll be ...

Ok so this is a pretty dead subforum but if anyone wants to know anything about Vancouver, is travelling through Vancouver, or lives in Vancouver. Hey get at me!

It's a lovely city with great bands, record stores, and a few pop-friendly folks!

Re: It's terrific by train

Your face here is a delight. Love! Have you ever travelled on one of those Skyline dome cars? I have lovely dreams about them. Aw thank you! I've never ridden a skyline dome car but they pass under a bridge by my house quite regularly. You can wave down at the folk inside! A lovely alternative if y...

Re: It's terrific by train

I can't believe I've never seen this thread before!!!!! I'm a railfan and model railway enthusiast so very happy that this overlaps with the indiepop crowd. Last time I was in the UK I rode the watercress line from alton which was a dream! I collect N scale Canadian trains and 00 scale british train...

UK Booking Agents

Can anyone recommend a good booking agent for the UK and/or the big bit of europe that's not the UK?
I've got a friend coming to the UK this fall. Sort of atlas sound/panda bear-ish indie folk/electronic. Has anyone booked a tour or had one booked for them? Let me know!

Re: Starting and running a label

Not sure where to ask this, so why not here? Have any of you traveled by airplane to another country while bringing along records to sell? Has this ever been a problem? Could it be? I took about 200 singles to the UK with me in April, no problems at the border or anything! I can imagine you might b...
