Here's the facebook event for the Red House on Sunday: https://en-gb.facebook.com/events/355823204546799/?ref=22. The times are on there in a comment. I'm well looking forward to it, we had loads of fun last year. It doesn't let non-facebookers look at it. Could somebody cut and paste the details h...

Re: The 'I don't much care for Suede (the band) either' thre

I saw Geneva twice, for some reason, and I must say I perfectly understand his grudge. It'll take more than Robbie Williams, functioning ears and common sense to convince me that Symposium weren't amazing, though. i bloody loved symposium. until the actual album came out anyway did you ever manage ...

I have horribly skinny legs, and have found that Fly London and Dr. Martens are quite good (there are some quite nice ladylike DMs about).

This would be great, but given the frightening speed at which Kitson shows tend to sell out I think it'd probably be a bit of a disaster!

Sort it in descending value of the scores and then pick them perhaps? I'm less sure about how you do the next bit though.

Having spent a lot of yesterday getting from Gloucestershire back to Nottingham, I wish they'd just sort out the West-East connections a bit rather than North-South. Also, 2033?? We'll all have hoverboards or teleporting by then anyway.

Sounds pretty interesting. Stephen from my band may possibly be able to help, shall pass that on and see if he can help you out. I'm not up on it enough to help you, and most of what I read philosophy-wise is (mostly environmental) ethics stuff. Hope you manage to sort it out!

I really want to come to this, but I'm away. My housemate has a painting in it too (it's an otter acrylic painting), so look out for that! Have fun! x

I knew there must be an upside to looking about 10 years younger than I am, after all these years of struggling to be taken seriously professionally and academically.

It's Nina Smith. I once say Dog is Dead at an awful festival in Gloucester and they had quite a big crowd. My friend's reaction to them: "fuck this is boring, shall we go home". We went home. It was boring.

Laura! Don't go in The Station pub. Do go in the Victoria. It's right near the ground, and says "Home fans only" on the door, but ignore that. All in all it was very friendly. The stewards were helpful, and I have it on good authority that the chips and gravy in the ground were superb. Enjoy yourse...

How was it, Alex? If anyone fancies a Tuesday night out in Alfreton, I'm going to see Grimsby play there next Tuesday night. Train is at 5.15pm, coming back at 10pm. Also - anyone off to the beer festival? I'm going to Alfreton on 9th November to see them play Newport. I can't believe how fucking e...

Re: A thread about putting on DIY gigs

Simon, it's perhaps worth asking Cats for Peru. They are Sheffield based, but Rich the guitarist works in Leicester and apparently a lot of his colleagues would be likely to go to a show if they played Leicester. I can't obviously vouch for this for definite (as they've never been offered a gig in L...

I can't make this either, but just saw in the other thread that Born With Stripes list my two favourite bands (the Lemonheads and Pavement) as influences, so I look forward to seeing them in the future! Hope it goes well.
