Re: The Football

If you let me, I'll fill in the test with my team. RC Celta de Vigo How will you do? Our first aim is always to avoid relegation but last year was a great one and we ended up 9th. This season people are incredibly excited that we can repeat that position and the optimistic even dream with getting in...

Re: The Football

I'd hardly recommend Burnley as somewhere to go as a travel destination. (It's not *that* bad, actually. A typical Northern former mill town.) What are your other England options? My other options are not any better (Norwich and Wolverhampton) and with all due respect, it's not intended to be anyth...

At your service.
I'm planning to go to Burnley because my football team is playing there a pre-season friendly :) They're playing 3 games in England but this is the one that I might go to.

Re: The Football

I'm interested in that plan, just curious. Can someone explain very basic what will be the impact on Championship and League One teams? I'd like to open a debate about this on my team's forum.

Oh, I like this band and they're local too :) They've been playing around these past few weeks but for one reason or another, I haven't had the chance to see them live.

Re: Seattle Area Popkids

I'm going to be in Seattle and Portland early August. As usual, I write in here to get ideas about what to do. I have a nice list now, but any suggestion is always welcome. In Portland I plan to attend the zine fest too. If there's anybody who is up for a drink or anything, let me know as well.

Re: The Football

In Spain, Man U is called 'Manchester jooneyeteth'; Real Madrid is 'Madrid' (because Atlético de Madrid is 'Atleti') and 'Real' is Real Sociedad. And yeah, Real means royal.

Now it's Confederations Cup. Football never stops.

Re: The Football

Sometimes it's difficult to explain the reasons why you like one team or another or why you ended up supporting certain team...in your own country. It's even more difficult when it's another country and you're not that aware of the social/political implications it might have (if that's the case). Wh...

Today I'm sad to see our local boy Aspas leave the team to go to England...though if he has to leave, I'm glad it's Liverpool.

Re: Numbers stations

I was into this a couple of years ago. There's this website where you can connect to some radios. http://www.websdr.org/ Now I don't remember much of it but it wasn't easy to get the right frequency range for that type of stations. I spent a good amount of time searching around and it was...scary. T...

Re: (You can't take that stuff to) Canada

I've been in Canada for 2 weeks now and it's great but Ottawa seems pretty boring. Or maybe it's just me. I went to Montreal this weekend and it was very good. I really liked it and that's not something I say about many cities. I'm not staying here long so unfortunately I don't have time to visit a ...

Re: My new zine idea: the personal fanzine.

I like zines, especially perzines. Unfortunately, I can't find many of those (here, zines=comic) so I order them online. Let me know about yours! I'd also be interested in that personal view of musicians though I don't know where's the line between interesting cool-zine-questions and Smash Hits ques...

Re: Jens Lekman

It was a full band, 5 people on stage. Where do you live in Italy? I was having a look to see if there was any other concert I could go to in Europe but dates/places are not very good for me...in fact the Zürich concert is the best in terms of dates, but I went to Zürich last month! I also read the ...

Re: Jens Lekman

The concert on Friday was fantastic, much better than I had expected. He also played 'I don't know if she's worth 900Kr', a song that he doesn't sing very often but it seemed appropriate considering it was in Barcelona. It was great :)

Re: The Mac Thread

I've just got an iphone4s and it's the first smartphone I have, so I can't really compare to other phones in terms of battery life. I think it's dying very fast even if I'm not doing a lot but I don't know if it's the usual or not. I changed the settings to avoid the 'bug' (setting time zone off and...

It's actually a good moment for that. You can join one of the many demonstrations/protests/strikes that we're having lately. I'm on strike tomorrow too (though I'm not in Barcelona).

Verbs in English are absurdly easy. No conjugation = no pain.
