Re: 22/11 Does Your Heart Go Boom!! All Dayer - Lexington -

Forgot to say how much I enjoyed The Fireworks with their wall of swirling guitars, having only seen them before through the church window at Indietracks, and the music between the bands was fantastic too.

Re: 22/11 Does Your Heart Go Boom!! All Dayer - Lexington -

Highlights: -I loved how Fireworks filled the room with their sound, and given the last time i saw them in London they played to about 12 people in an empty Power Lunches, it was great to see the room full for them. Re: Helen Love

Always room to change a bit,we enjoyed making it and that's the main thing, you'll have to wait for the next record for some pop punk action.actually PUNK action,as the Stick It album we canned sounds really rather cool now, very Lo fi and fast.

Re: Jonathan Richman (and the Modern Lovers)

It's Time For...Jonathan Richman is such a lovely album,it's out of print now, think it was on Rough Trade, every song a killer. We played Upstairs At The Garage, summer 96 ,and he was playing downstairs,we managed to sneak in and see some of the show.Topped a rather surreal day as i recall,we'd just b...

Re: Van Morrison

Summertime in England from The Common One lp is just genius, there is also a fantastic clip on youtube of In The Garden(an astounding song)featuring the late piano player from the chieftans ,a rather glorious looking chap and another musical genius by all accounts. Re: The Football

I bought WSC to read in the train today and it was nice to find a piece written by you in there, Pete. Thanks. I keep thinking we should all have a Roly and John party round at mine sometime, and spend the whole night watching Town's '97-98 highlights video. And all wear comedy eyebrows and taches ...

Helen, what a surprise to see you here this evening. :) Well done - I'm dead chuffed for ya! I ought to be cheering on Bristol Rovers right now, since they're the lowest ranked club left in it, but I have a big soft spot for West Brom and a strong aversion to Lennie Lawrence... Aw thanks, its magic....
