Re: Graphic Design/Print

Gorgeous. I think I instinctively ordered two copies: one to read, one to drool on.

Re: The folk

Yeah, I'm sure I had all sorts of things to do today but I've just been sitting here melting. It's completely gorgeous. 'If There Is Any Light' and 'The Evening Is Growing Dim' are actually making breathing quite hard. I don't know what to do with myself. I'm going to dig deep into Clay Pipe, I reck...

Good Lord. <3 <3 <3 I'd never quite clicked with Grimes before - always felt a bit too cold - but this song is incredible. Howwwwwwww. Wow. It's like a blanket that you desperately need but don't have. Or something. You can't possibly not know what I mean, can you?

Re: TV Quick: talk about things on telly succinctly

Can we keep talking about Fleabag please? Watched all of it over the last two nights. I bloody loved it. Proper Feelings about it and everything. It's just... the pace of it? The comic timing? How gloriously balanced and mesmerising the story was? How totally in love I am with Phoebe Waller-Bridge a...

I'll be there and I've even thought about the possibility of the world ending as soon as the lights are on at the shed on Sunday night and it didn't seem bad. Not bad at all. IN A GOOD WAY.

Re: The Sarah Records thread

All this recent Sarah writing and storytelling is so wonderful. Labels like Creation, Factory and so on, great stuff as they've released, always made such a big deal of the so-called rock and roll aspects of their existence, the underlying macho culture that ultimately came down to some blokes in su...

Re: Mexican food

Yeah, I dunno about ready-made salsa here either. Thing is, it's pretty easy to make it at home and then you leave it in the fridge for a day and it's all spicy and rounded and lovely. I make salsa verde too now and guacamole, obviously, and shop-bought stuff doesn't do it for me anymore. No-one is ...

Aw man! I've hardly thought about anything else since Sunday. IT'S AMAZING. Ooh, and I found the best bit of footage ever (I have gone through roughly a million hours of Youtube videos in the last three days). From about 1:20 in, watch the crowd still celebrating Bogle's first goal and then the tota...

Re: London is great

I appreciate I've been absent from Anorak a long time and have lost touch with all but a few people, but I'm in London until July 5 and then other parts of the UK and possibly other parts of Europe until August 5. Anyone in London interested in an informal reading group of some sort? Poetry? I'd li...
