Re: Interesting websites & online fads

Hey guys, I just realised that the G2P website (you know that one that had the Google search mechanism to find mp3s) isn't up anymore. I know that this basically just contained a search algorithm for Google, so I was wondering if any of you know what it was! I guess I could just type this long stri...

Re: photography!

Ohhh.. very nice photos! Especially impressed with the gig lomo photos. Thanks for the advice on West End Cameras. I work on Tottenham Court Rd so that's quite handy. I got my tiny little Diana today (so cute). For now I just have some cheap film I bought ages ago in Germany ISO 400. This might be a...

Re: photography!

So what's the best place (and cheapest) to have photos developed? I usually go to Boots but I am wondering if there are any cheaper places. Or any better places? Plus I don't like Boots. I just ordered myself a Mini Diana (yeah!!) so will have lots of rolls of film to devleop soon, I hope! Where do ...

Re: photography!

Righto, I'm looking at a Canon Ixus 95 - anyone...? I have the Canon Ixus 70 and it isn't bad at all! I wish it looked a bit funkier but the photos it takes are good. Although, I have to admit, I can't really compare it with other cameras. I had a Nikon Coolpix before and absolutely hated it becaus...

Did anyone see them in London last night? I am gutted to have missed them but had already booked my flight home to Germany before I knew they were coming! Otherwise I would have flown today :-(
Anyway, were they good?! Did I miss much?

Re: Train Strikes - Friday/Monday

I booked a ticket for the 18.30 from St. Pancras to Nottingham. Anyone else by any chance? Probably a bit later for most people but I couldn't take the day off. Still don't know what to do about the strike... Maybe I'll go to Derby instead - does that sound reasonable? I somehow don't get the timeta...

Yes, I'm going!
Really looking forward to it. Last year it was dashing down with rain so we ended up not going. Hope it will be better this year!

Re: learning to play the guitar and indiepop songs to play

I am trying to play "Middleclass kid" by Pelle Carlberg and I think it must be really easy, I am just stuggling with the part where it goes into minor and he sings "middleclass kid, middleclass kid". I played C / F / G for my mother was a housewive, my dad worked for a bank, i thought i had the futu...

Re: Crochet

Thought I'd revive this thread by showing off my latest project which I have finished last week.
I still haven't crocheted anything from the Crochet me book though! I look at it a lot and it makes me very happy but I haven't started anything yet. Maybe I'll do that over the weekend.

Re: general reading and book related things

When I read "The Perks..." for the first time I really loved it. I read it in one go (which isn't too difficult because it is not that long and quite an easy read) and cried and laughed, everything. I thought it was great. Then I started searching the internet for stuff around this book and actually...

FIB Festival Internacional de Benicassim

I was waiting for someone to start a thread about this but now I am just starting one myself. Is anyone going there this summer? I really want to go and am currently checking out accomodations and flights. I don't really want to camp there but rather get a hostel or something like that. Any recommen...

That's an excellent excuse, Martijn!

I actually went swimming, the second time this year. My resolution was to go twice a week. Oh well... I really enjoyed it though. Have to motivate myself to go more often! But how?
