Re: That was the Indietracks 2018 that was

I had a grand time again. Came totally unprepared for the cold snap and had to buy a hoodie off the Elephant stall to keep me warm on Saturday and bought some long trousers in Sainsbury on the Sunday morning. As a result of the pink sweatshirt I can spot myself in more photos than normal. Bands I en...

Re: Leicester Indiepop Alldayer, 11th March 2017

Rainbow Reservoir were great, weren't they? All it took was a recommendation from Trev, a couple of tracks and a whim, plus their drummer knew how to repair a broken tom skin. Their drummer was a smashing bloke, had a long chat with him pre Cowtown. Look forward to seeing them again at Indietracks.

Feature are no more, unfortunately.
Wow that's a bummer, just read that. Debut album is about to be released, I was full of hope they might tour to support it.

Re: Indietracks 2016 photos and memories

Fabulous weekend. Musically not as strong as some for my slightly noisier taste, but still enough to keep me well entertained. Musical highlights were Nervous Twitch, Spook School, Flowers, Charla Fantasma, Lovely Eggs and Trust Fund (surprised they thought they'd underperformed, I thought they were...

Sauna Youth

Saw them for the first time last night after loving the album, fantastic stuff. I've seen a shed load of bands this year but they are the best I've seen by far. Would be fantastic in the engine shed on the Saturday!

Re: Indietracks 2015 Photos and Memories

Another good weekend, band highlights from me were Fever Dream, Feature, Chorusgirl and The Ethical Debating Society. I'm not an owl expert but we were particularly fond of the one with the flat face, who seemed to spend all his time giving people and other owls angry stares. Missed not having music...

Saw them supporting Hinds at the Bodega and thought they were ace, think it was their biggest gig to date and they were obviously a bit nervous, but definitely ones to watch.

Re: Leicester Indiepop Alldayer, 21st March 2015

Another top day, cheers for putting it on. I had to leave after Fever Dream because of a clash, bug enjoyed everything I saw up to then. Highlights for me were Fever Dream, who I expected a lot from and who delivered. Mowbird were unknown to me and thought they were great, loved his guitar sound. An...

Yep the Goose Fair was rubbish - I don't know why but I thought it would be a good idea to skip Night Flowers and wander down, thinking it would be something worth seeing. Won't be going again!

Re: 7th Annual Nottingham Pop All-Dayer, 4th October

Great day yesterday, many thanks to everyone involved in putting it on. Really enjoyed all the bands, but have to highlight Slum Of Legs who I hadn't seen before and thought were great.
We had to leave at 9 to get the train home, but hope the rest of it was as good.

Re: Indietracks 2014 Photos and Memories

The "Blue Train" is called Oswald. Yes he is looking a bit sad but plans are in hand to give him a new home on site and a bit of a spruce up. Cheers for the info, glad he's not destined for the scrap heap! I've got a badge with his picture on so should have known his name. Thanks once again for all...

Re: Ripley Premier Inn

I've booked the flexible one so we can cancel it if it's wrong. Cheers for the info. I'll check back over the next few days, as when I looked there was no price on the flexible option either on the app or the website - I wonder if they noticed a lot were booking the flexible option and took it down...

Re: Ripley Premier Inn

I've already booked the Premier Inn for next year. They are letting you book just the two nights this time, so it's working out cheaper than it was this year, for us at least. I don't care, Indietracks is worth it. I don't think it's worth getting cross about the cost of it, that's how capitalism w...

Re: Indietracks 2014 Photos and Memories

We had a great time, probably the best musical line up of the three I've been to for my tastes. Loved the expected highlights (Jo Gru, Dean Wareham, Chills). But the thing that made it for me were the unexpected highlights - Axolotes Mexicanos were fantastic, as were Blue Minkies, Elopes and Totem T...

Re: Ticket panic !

Just bought an all weekend ticket. I´m happy to visit Indietracks for the first time. But my ticket looks very...simple, there´s no barcode, just the Midland Railway logo and a Reference number. Is this the right ticket? I'm just a little worried that I had some kind of fake ticket...? Don't worry,...
