Re: Indietracks 2009 memories and photos

so, so gutted we missed out this year after the awesomeness of the previous two. Sounds like it's expanding for the better!

Can't complain too much really as instead we went to a wedding in Budapest and we traveled there from London by TRAIN!

Re: Golden Valley Caravan Park

for what it's worth, I thought the campsite was ace and the facilities were top notch. The husband and wife team who seem to own it were nothing but polite and helpful to us the whole weekend, and I thought they went the extra mile to provide more bar/food facilities than last year, which was cool b...

Re: does anyone know any animators?

aye, £80 would get you about 1 and a half hours. Maybe try Manchester Met? They've got some decent animation and design courses I think, get harvesting that student talent!

Maybe DIY it?

Re: does anyone know any animators?

I do animation and motion graphics but a 2:30 video would be quite a lot of work, you might struggle finding someone to do it for a decent price. Maybe get in touch with some animation students? Where are you based? this is my showreel btw, it's a bit out of date though and very commercial, really n...

Re: Indietracks 2008 photos and memories

great to meet lots of new people, though last night's campsite party was far too hardcore - today has been very difficult indeed. Highlights for me - The Wave Pictures, LC!, The Bobby McGees, Kate Goes (genius!), TORNADOS!, the weather, the ale, the trains, staying up until 6am this morning listenin...

did anyone pick up my wrestling mask?

hello! Indietracks was awesome to the max. So awesome in fact that I managed to lose my black wrestling mask in all the heat/drink/twee confusion. I think it fell out of my bag on the walk to the site from Golden Valley on the Saturday night, if anyone has it I'd love to get it back as it's an impor...

Re: Alcohol

the real ale selection last year was nothing short of phenomenal. I seem to remember it being £2.50 for a 500ml bottle (of which they had like 20 different types, including Lancaster Bomber, brewed in my ancestral homeland of Blackburn) and £2 a pint, but my memory may have been clouded by the afore...

Re: Accommodation, hotel rooms, camping etc.

so...

the only minor things that I thought were less than awesome at last years indietracks were the lack of toilets and the tack of decent food. Is there going to be any improvement on these things this year?

As I said, very minor things but it's worth asking, innit!

Re: It's bloody dangerous by bicycle

I came off my Brompton today outside waterloo station and landed with all my weight on my heel. Slicks + rain = FAIL.

As for fixies, NO WAI! They do seem to be terribly trendy at the moment, don't they?

Re: Colin Newman & Wire

I went to uni with Colin Newman's wife Maya (she was on my Fine Art degree) and at the time all I knew was her husband was in 'some old art punk band' but as this was the late nineties and guitar music was awash with shite I had defected to electronic stuff so I didn't bother to check them out. A co...
