I am NOT paying enough attention to Anorak, clearly. I've added you in Facebook, Huw, in order to not miss out on any subsequent Lovelypool-ness.

Re: The 'I don't much care for Suede (the band) either' thre

I lump Suede and the Manics in together in my head They're pretty much the same for me - both were around when I was first listening to music (1996ish), but in more tedious form, having lost a guitarist. I find myself thinking "bloody hell, just let it lie" more often with Suede though. With all th...

The first time I heard Further Complications, it kinda put me in mind of Vic Reeves's immortal 1991 LP I Will Cure You. Must dig out my tape of that.

Re: Dan Treacy and the Television Personalities

I was chatting to a guy at Indietracks who said he was involved with the non-Dan members of the band, doing some sort of tribute thing. Can't find anything about it online. Shame, cos I would have liked to have stayed in touch. Nice chap. He bought a... well, *the* 10p Mixes T-shirt, which makes him...

Re: Why are people putting things out on tape?

The 10p Mixes put our first record out on tape purely because a tape label suggested it and it sounded fun. Well, at least as if we might as well. They posted us eight free copies and we've still got four left. Calvin Johnson has one, but I don't know if he's played it. He's not been in touch...

I got this for four quid a bit ago:

Not sure it'll actually get used for anything. As Danielle (singer and keyboard player in the band I'm in) pointed out, the fan in it sounds like a hairdryer.

This is me: http://fawm.org/fawmers/fourzeroes/

I've done three so far this year. Last year I got up to about nine, which wasn't bad as it included three I liked enough to sing in front of actual people, and one that's pencilled in for the 10p Mixes comeback.
