Re: Board Games!

Has anyone played Settlers of Catan ? Yes. It looks awesome. It is. I've also played Spacefarers of Catan which is not as good as Settlers but kind of better because it is in space! Some time later, but... Catan is a really wonderful game, I have several expansion packs for it too... used to play i...

Re: Alfreton Travelodge

After a false start where I thought I had booked it, and then some weeks later realised the booking never went through, I am now all booked into the travelodge for 2015 (Indietracks, not all of 2015). Having heard so many tales last year of how amazing the refurb is - with sequins on every wall, bed...

The National Library of Wales doesn't have a copy, suggesting it was never published in the UK.

Re: The Football

So, tonight's the night then. The season starts for "1904" (the club formerly known as Hull City AFC) in Slovakia. It could so easily have been in Sweden, we had a fair chance of being drawn against IF Brommapojarkna - a team who are a twenty minute ride from my house, one metro, no changes and cert...

Re: Ripley Premier Inn

It would be funny if some sort of admin error/miscommunication led them to believe it is on a completely different weekend next year and the actual weekend of indietracks was very reasonably priced.

Re: Indietracks 2014 Photos and Memories

Got home quite late, and I have to get up in not enough hours to go to work, but I had an amazing time and it was so great to see so many great bands and people again (and for the first time). Strangely for me I decided not to make sleep my top priority on returning home and I have been going throug...

Steady on.

We are also on our journey, waiting in the departure lounge in the bit of the airport reserved for cheap flights where the carpet has things trodden into it which will never come out.

Jet set.

Re: Sweden / Sverige

Sounds like a good visit in general though. Visiting other countries where my skills with the language are limited is quite normal for me. Sweden is one of the few places where I can get by in the local language. I guess it shows that the by-rote verb-table type of language teaching that was forced ...
