Re: Hi-Fi Hardware - Turntables, Valves & Tapes

Maybe it's time for an upgrade? http://www.catacombosoundsystem.com/ That's crazy. Can you just imagine. You've 20 grand or so left to your name. Sod inheritance, blow it all on that! The marketing video on that site looks like it's off Little Britain or something similar. Oh, Jayen Aitch. It sound...

Re: Hi-Fi Hardware - Turntables, Valves & Tapes

We were given an old turntable. It's lovely and it is plugged into the stereo, but it is very quiet and distorts at low volumes. Do I need some sort of preamp?

Did you see Chris Stride saying, maybe jokingly, that he will bring Offbeat back if 150 people like the status about it coming back, on Offbeat's Facebook page:

Re: Tablet PCs

I see... I am more and more under Apple's spell, I like the way their products work. I know that on a pounds per byte ratio, you don't get as much bang for your buck, but somehow the bang you get seems to get me where you want to go with Apple. I have always had a dislike of Microsoft, which of cour...

May I ask, what drives your dislike of Apple without similar feelings towards Microsoft?

Re: When did you first get on the internet?

I got on the internet in 1996 at home.

The school I was at had two PCs with the internet on in 1995, I only got to try it once though. It was like magic, very slow magic.

I did get a bit confused that you did single rather than double clicks online

I was looking at this thread wishing I had crisps, so I phoned Astrid, who is not home yet, and asked her if we could have crisps for supper.

Re: The Football

Bought some tickets to Hull's home game on boxing day, very likely my only game this year (so I hope we win it even more). Who've you got? One of the nice things about being non-League is you're allowed to have local derbies at Christmas and bank holidays. You know, like everyone used to in the sen...

That's fantastic though, snuggling a cat under a duvet is, in many ways, the dream.

Northern Spies

Northern Spies (or Astrid to her friends, of which a fair few are on here) is releasing an EP tomorrow through Eardrums Pop . I thought I would mention it so that people can check it out if they would like. One song has been released as a taster, here: https://soundcloud.com/eardrumspop/northern-sp...

Re: Anoracats!

So I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up, my cat was sitting on my leg! I couldn't move! So I grabbed my phone off the coffee table and took a picture. http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/6250/26268110100599958684781.jpg Cute. Also, no wonder you fell asleep on the sofa, under a duvet.
