Do you have stage times? Our show finishes at 7 and we don't want to miss GUMS!

Re: Edinburgh

Heading your way in about 90 minutes chaps - if anyone's around we're doing "Total Hero Team" every day until the 17th at The Dram House Upstairs (aka GRV aka The Wilkie House) at 6pm. If not, will hopefully see you at the Just Joans on the 16th!

Re: Starting and running a label

UK label folks - what do you charge for posting a CD to the UK, EU and worldwide, please? I don't charge at all - it always seems a bit Ryanair to advertise the price for a CD then add on the postage, how else are people going to get it? I guess you could say it's included in the price. For oversea...

Re: The Beatles!

I want more Beatles. Which album should I get next? I have the three I mentioned above plus the red album. I was thinking of maybe Magical Mystery Tour because I really like Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields - what's the rest of it like? If you like Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields then you want Ser...

Re: Music small talk, music big talk

To go on the internet once and say a load of things best kept to yourself is one thing. To do it twice, however... so whether or not you think a band is shit or if you disagree with their views, don't make it personal. As Shaun says, you can't really complain about people making personal remarks whe...

Re: Music small talk, music big talk

I think everyone should give him a big hug - who amongst us has ever been in a band for more than six months and NOT thought that everyone else was getting loads of great gigs that WE should be getting, or that only WE are getting apologetic tenners from promoters while everyone else is enjoying cha...

Re: Now We Are weekender, West Brom 25th-26th May

That was fun wasn't it? For those going next year, I highly recommend The Sportsman: looks TERRIFYING on the outside, on the inside it's an INDIAN pub with a Curry Canteen!

Oh yeah, and the bands were good and seeing everybody was very nice too!

Re: Permission to use someone's poem as the lyrics for your

I'd say it very much depends on how famous the poem is. Would it pass under the radar if they didn't draw attention to it being someone else's work? I'm sure you're not, but it SOUNDS like you're saying that it's FINE to steal someone else's lyrics as long as they're not famous enough to be worth a...

Re: Free Fringe Benefit Album feat. Just Joans, Standard Far

There's just ONE DAY left to buy the PBH Free Fringe Benefit Album, after which it is deleted FOREVER. I think people here might like it, featuring as it does EXCLUSIVE tracks, including unreleased songs, demo version, previews of forthcoming albums and brand new stuff from the likes of A Fine Day F...

Re: Free Fringe Benefit Album feat. Just Joans, Standard Far

Just under three weeks left to get this album - loads of new, unreleased and rare tracks from lovely people who you probably like, and it's all in a VERY good cause. The PBH Free Fringe stops the Edinburgh Fringe being the sole domain of 20 something male comedians with managers and TV deals, and in...

Re: The 'I don't much care for Suede (the band) either' thre

I once fixed computers for the Suede fanclub, too. Once again proving my thesis that everybody who has ever had anything to do with bands in London has met David Barnett (the chap in question). Him and Delia. Anyway, I bloody loved Suede at the time - when all Indie music was AWFUL (Wonderstuff, Ki...
