Re: Tell me about Colleen Green

Those GYC gigs did look like good fun. I just got unlucky that I was always around for bands I didn't like and out of town for every good band.

Re: Tell me about Colleen Green

Checked out the album yesterday - dead into it. She'd completely passed me by previously.

Guildford is not a great place for gigs. Almost none happen there, and when they do no-one goes. It is a pretty tedious town.

Model Village looking for some dates in May

Hello Model Village are trying to book a tour at the end of May. We're doing OK-ish so far, but could do with some help. Maybe you could be the one to help us? It's looking like this so far: 22nd - Cambridge 23rd - London 24th - Oxford 25th - Liverpool 26th - Manchester 27th - help! 28th - Newcastle...

Good-o. The daft thing is, I tried to book them in about 2004 and yet it has taken me until 2015.

Re: Tigercats

The new album is beyond brilliant. So different from the first, which is perhaps for the best. Yes, almost like a completely different band. It's a really great record. I was unsure after the first spin - though Junior Champion was so much better than the other tunes - but it's a a marvellous colle...

Re: Belle and Sebastian

Went to buy tickets to the Cambridge Corn Ex gig this afternoon and it's already sold out (apart from some awful seats right at the back). What the hell?!

Obviously, they're already hawking tickets for £70 or so on the internet. Quite annoyed now.

Re: Cambridge

What happened to Legion Records? The seemed to do everything in the wrong order, and appear to have lost the race. They gave the impression of having some kind of dream of moving from London to Cambridge and setting up a record shop with cafe and boozery, but didn't know the city at all. They had n...

Don't know who the rest are (though the names are familiar) but Seeds & Bones is Xav & Rachel from Fuzzy Lights backing Rachel's sister. It's sort of fuzzy, woozy, sad electronic tunes.
