Re: general reading and book related things

I'm quite excited about Kevin MacNeil's new book, The Brilliant & Forever. It sounds slightly insane. Who needs drugs? On an island like no other, the annual Brilliant & Forever festival is a much anticipated event; its participants a story away from either glory or infamy. This year, three best fr...

Re: what book are you reading?

I'm finding this quite reassuring, though I'm never really sure how much of a natural introvert I am. I suspect the fact that I think about it at all means probably 'quite a lot'. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/3148uqKw6aL._SX322_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg I'm very much an introvert so I was quite...

Re: I've got to DJ at a wedding...

We did a big list of songs we'd like to have played, and we also asked all our guests to pick a song they'd like to hear, and in the end half the songs on our list completely cleared the dance floor, so my friends who were DJing just played what worked at the time and it was fucking brilliant. I do...

Re: Glasgow Pop!South Weekender 2016 - Glasgow 12th-14th Feb

Aw, did it go well? Dead chuffed for yers. I kind of try and avoid reading about things I wish I was at, cos it makes me sad I'm not at them... but yeah. Nice one. Do it again next year and I'll try and be there :) Yeah, it was tiring (we also did a clubnight until 3 on the Saturday) but fun. We pr...

This was great. Just in case you were wondering!

Here's Pete Astor rounding things off rather wonderfully on the Sunday.

Glad you can make it. I'll be the guy struggling not to drink too much so I'm still capable of paying the bands at the end of the night!

Hope folk can make it along to our clubnight on the Saturday too - https://www.facebook.com/events/173644096335079/

Re: I've got to DJ at a wedding...

Can't go wrong with "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift. The hipsters will love it, the nans will love it, everyone loves it. Also you're not officially married under the eyes of Pop until "Come On Eileen" has been played at your wedding, so might want to get that in there. Yes! Shake It Off went down a...

Re: So how do you listen to music now?

I have a half hour walk to and from work each day so that time is always spent listening to my ipod though I must admit that that sometimes means podcasts rather than music. I use these headphones which actually stay in my ears and don't break after 6 months like every other pair of headphones I've ...

Re: Your Indietracks 2016 wishlist

Language of Flowers .. all are somewhat active at the moment. Woah, are they? I'd definitely approve of this. I missed them in 2012 (no idea why - I just looked at the schedule and there was no clash, so god knows what I was doing), and it's probably my biggest Indietracks Regret. I think they're p...

They seem to photograph a lot grumpier than they actually are!
Amy spent most of yesterday hiding on the corner so we thought it might take a long time for her to get used to us but after leaving them alone for an hour we went back in the room and found we suddenly had an attention-seeking lap cat!

Re: Anoracats!

Almost a year after our last cat sadly died at 17 we finally got some awesome new ones. We had to wait a while because we knew we were going to be moving house so we're pretty excited now.
Amy is in the 1st picture and her brother George is in the other two.
