Re: C86... expanded!

The Dufflecoats were the Applicants with the bassist from Anti Pasti and an extra guitarist. Julie (Mai 68) was the singer of The Snowbirds (on the ace "Motorcycle Baby" flexi) and another band I can't remember their name.

Re: C86... expanded!

I have an Applicants seven inch that's very good. I haven't listened to it for years - that might need to change. Aha! i almost forgot about that single. I still have a box or two at my dad's house I think. Will dig them out if anyone's interested. The Applicants demo tape was great. It was half 4-...

Re: C86... expanded!

That Stitched Back Foot Airmen track is great. I've never heard that. Did Stereolab rip that bass line off or am I imagining things?

Re: New records for 2014- what are you looking forward to?

City yelps is a 10-song, album length (as in Ramones album length) TAPE! It'll have a download code and will sell for £2. There's a single on Oddbox too which is different songs. The tape is on my 'label' Horsey Music . Also coming up is a Confused Objectives 7" which i play guitar on and a compilat...

A good excuse to post more Wildhouse. The term 'underrated' gets bandied about a lot in these cases but these were criminally ignored!

Re: Corrupt Postman

This was a great comp. I think Spin Out were from Sheffield and did their own tape at one point. Neil and Chris were still at school when they did this comp. I have the accompanying booklet somewhere so I'll have a gander at the info for those bands if it shows up. It listed info and addresses etc E...

Re: First Base

I like that there's a picture of Adrian Mole on the front! Trev, that'd be great if you could cut a deal with Hozac and maybe get some of their other titles - especially the Electric Eels single they're doing.

Re: '80s mod revival

I love this stuff, the more low-budget amateur stuff the better. The Direct Hits 'Blow Up' LP on Whaam is great - "A Place In The 80's", "Girl In The Picture" - just great stuff. Squire were great too. The first Times LP is pretty much the TVP's having swapped instruments around. There's a good comp...
