I'll always have a soft spot for the ATP show as that was the first time i saw them, i didnt know what to expect and it pretty much blew me away. You're spot on about the showmanship, I dont know where you were sitting or how you much you could see, but being in the box (the box's are amazing! i nev...

Yes, we've just got back in from seeing them at the Royal Festival Hall, we had a box, it was lovely (or a pod as Colin kept calling it) They started with The Tain, it was all very unexpected and yet so good. A nicely different mix of songs from the Shepherds Bush gig earlier this year and i still l...

I dont know if he'd have shared it with Lewis, if i had received something i knew i shouldnt have the last thing i'd be doing would be shouting from the rooftops and going round sharing it with anyone else. Especially if that other person had in a roundabout sort of way ruined my year.. I dare say A...

While i can't say i want him to win desperately, i'd rather he won it than Alonso. In the tale end of the Schumacher reign i found myself quite taken with Alonso's style, i liked the fact that he let his results speak rather than getting caught up in Michael's retirement celebration. This year thoug...

25 years, thats a mighty long time to be defying the corporate ogre. God Bless Calvin I've never seen the documentary, but yeah, a quick scout round this here internet seems to suggest its readily available, i'm buying that, right now, comments to follow next week sometime. Yes also! but i've seen it all so far up to the end of season 3 so i'll sit back and observe. It's great though, probably the best TV show of the last few years, whilst i'm gutted season 4 will be the last, i have high hopes for it given that its the writers decision to finish it and not some coked ...

I don't know if they still exist in these franchised days, but they were around for years in the BR days. As Woodbine said, they weren't very much 10p-20p, i think it depended on the station and a lot on the staff too i should imagine.

How did you feel about the name change? Are the fans OK with it in general? Well it came from nowhere really, we finished last season sponsored by Austrian airlines (i always thought that was a bizarre one) only to be told post season that the deal had finished. Maybe a month later they announced t...

QPR as in West Bromwich Albion 5 QPR 1 nice quote from John Gregory before today's match: "We've discussed the future and if we are in a good position in January I'm sure Flavio will spend. He wants to win." not quite sure how we're going to be in a good position in January with Gregory in charge b...

Re: It's terrific by train

Hugely! As much as I like trains, I've never quite had the spotter urge. I think my railwayphilia centres upon old stations that aren't there any more. And maps of old stations that aren't there any more. And maps of stations that are still there. And maps of tracks. And timetab... oh God. Ah, yes,...

It's terrific by train

Yes, back by popular demand (erm, by 2 people, including me) its the train thread.. Anorak's and trains go hand in hand really, fill a thermos with some lovely soup, don the anorak, pick up a pen and pad, buy a platform ticket (very important this, you don't want to be done for fare evasion) and spo...
