I was there. Wasn't all that fussed, either..... (despite liking their records and that).
Whereas i really enjoyed them at Popfest despite feeling particularly MEH about their records..

Re: 4/8 Cars Can Be Blue/Fever Dream/Young Romance/Frozy -

Well this was all rather good wasnt it.. Had to get 2 buses home as the Overground had stopped running by the time it finished but even that didnt dent my enjoyment. If i had to pick a favourite band of the evening, Fever Dream would probably just shade it, but thats not to say the other 3 bands wer...

Re: Indietracks discos

We only made it to the Ben and Trev show this year. Would have gone to Stolenwine and/or Ready Steady Girls had they occurred.. Have to admit, given that we pretty much spent all Saturday night sitting in the marquee with a few pints, was actually quite glad the disco was cancelled.. i didnt like th...

Me too!

It's my T-Buns Grosevnor/Tracks/Buffalo Bar hat trick.

Can't we keep them and make them play every week?

PURCHASED!

CCCB, Fever Dream and Frozy were all highlights of the weekend and Young Romance in the church last year was magical.

People who are not coming to this show are deluded (or Comet Gain fans)

Re: The weather pessimism thread

It should be fine right?

a little rain never hurt anyone, last year was only bad as it had been raining alot beforehand hadnt it? even then it was nowhere near as wet/muddy/awkward as i expected.

i confidently predict this year will be pleasant.

Re: getting the train

Hi Dennis, There are (i think) 12 of us going up on the train from St Pancras at 1255, gets into Derby at around 1530, we are booked in first class (as we're a bunch of middle class wankers - as it seems is everyone in indiepop these days) but dont let that put you off! You'd be more than welcome to...

Re: Premier Inn vs Travelodge

with the Travel Lodge what's the general consensus on when to check in? I cant go on Friday, just doing the Saturday and Sunday but obviously gates opening and checking in are very different times. Do we ditch the wheels at the lodge early doors, make our way to the site then check in at midnight O...

Re: Indietracks 2013 announcements

I can not remember. Think it might've been. No clue really. Just looked it up on Songkick, the show you're thinking of was at The Gramaphone but it wasn't the lostmusic one. We had Still Corners a few months before that at the venue.... The Lostmusic one was: 10th April 2008: Phil Wilson / Pocketbo...

Re: Indietracks 2013 announcements

They're alright. Signed to Subpop (they don't sound like a subpop band, to me). Lostmusic put them on yonks ago at the Gramaphone when they had a different lead singer. That was around Indietracks too wasn't it Trev? With The Zebras, Je Suis Animals and Red Pony Clock if i recall (i'm here for all ...

It is, but just.. and it isn't something i'd choose to do (i have done so) it takes about half an hour, but it's all along the main road and you do pass a kebab shop along the way (for sustinence)

Re: Premier Inn vs Travelodge

Non-campers; who's staying where this year? T'lodge. The price swung it this year - Although we shall miss The Sainsburys, the Chinese takeaway and the convenience (with the drunken excitement of the dark alley) the £134 difference more than makes up for that, and i find the outside communal area b...
