Nice to see you remember me.

Nothing like an old forum rivalry to keep the blood red.

Re: "I liked them before they made it big time"

Hey, i'm not having a go, like. But y'know... gotta admit that staking a claim to liking any band before they hit the big time, if not intentionally elitist, seems a bit like sticking two fingers up to the proles for not digging on yr the same frequency as your totally spot-on band radar. i mean, m...

Re: Belle and Sebastian

I wouldn't recommend DCW because that was the only album that nearly put me off. Why not recommend Life Pursuit seeing as it is one of their most assessable albums?

Stay Loose isn't a bad song. I never thought I'd like it but for some reason it has grown on me.

Re: "I liked them before they made it big time"

i'm not sure i understand the question to be honest. what's 'famous' or 'big time'? i mean, to use your example, Cedric, Modest Mouse were selling a helluva lot of records since The Lonesome Crowded West , and graduated to a major label as long ago as 2000. That sounds pretty big time to me. equall...

Re: Accessories

I have two earrings and a lip ring. I don't have a lip ring because I'm "trying to make a statement". It's pretty ignorant to assume that. Although admittedly a lot of young people do it as a rebellion thing. I have a lip ring because I think it looks nice. For the same reason someone might wear a n...

Re: Nintendo Wii

Well, it's worked hasn't it, the whole supplying for the party generation, The Gamecube proved it/they couldnt hold their own against Sony and Microsoft and had they carried on trying, then i don't doubt they would have gone down the same sorry road that Sega ended up down. I don't know any stats o...

Re: "I liked them before they made it big time"

The Wombats. Saw them supporting The Research in 2005, and they were HORRIBLE. now they're horrible and in the charts. ugh. Haha. I hear you pal. I do like the song 'Kill the Director' but I think 'Lets dance to joy division' was just unscrupulous name-dropping! I got really into Vampire weekend be...

Re: It's bloody dangerous by bicycle

We have the same problem here in Australia. For instance a new bike lane opened but not enough people were using it in the early days so they decided it can be a bike lane/car park/car turn off lane. What a joke!

Re: Nintendo Wii

Wii: The gimmick console for the no serious gamer. First they patronised us by aiming at the younger audience with game cube, now Nintendo is supplying for the party generation. N64 was the perfect console. It's a shame they've gone so far down hill. That being said, Wii is kind of fun in small dose...

I love her voice very much. Their newest record came out this week on Magic Marker along with the Tullycraft one.

Here's one song, called Peppermint Patty
The Owls are nice. Somebody should put 'Air' up here.

Re: Band rivalry debate!

I agree with you more or less. Both bands are very overrated and do not deserve the respect and fame they have. Although having said that, Dany Warholes have a couple of goods songs like 'Nietzsche' and BJTM have that 'Nevertheless' song which isn't bad. But on the whole neither have an outstandingl...

Re: Shameless style icon/inspiration pic posting

I don't think there is a formula for advertising to men like there is for advertising to women. The ads i've seen for male beauty products reflect this and the ad Pierce Brosnan does for Loreal Men Expert seems really confused (to me anyway) as to what it is trying to portray. Well said. I think tr...
