Re: Allo, Darlin'

First of the Compass gigs was very good - about 50-50 split between old and new songs.

It was very hot in Ginglik

Re: The Football

Cheers. If he scores like Chapman I'd be well pleased. Hmm - this is the review i saw - not over encouraging; "He’s a target man for a plan B or C option when the chips are down to get that knock down in the box for a poacher or for him to cause chaos at a set piece. Unless it hits his head or if h...

Remember getting email at work in 1993.

Then finally getting a PC with email and internet access at home about a year later.

Re: The Football

Respect to Everton fans last night. Sold out allocation of 5000 on a stinking Tuesday, when the match is on TV, to watch their second string play. Still a bit stunned by that result - though deserved. Leeds were missing as many first teamers as Everton - 6 out injured - i guess the difference in qu...

Hmm

Symptomatic site

http://www.symptomaticpresents.com/

appears to be suggesting The Field Mice are supporting the Woodentops in October at Nambucca.

This seems to be unlikely !

Yeah, fuck the closing ceremony. Let's just forget that and remember how great everything else was and how bloody lovely all those athletes seemed to be. I was lucky enough to goto some Olympics stuff pretty much everyday, 14 days in total and 12 in the Olympic Park - and apart from being absolutel...

Re: A thread about putting on DIY gigs

I guess in London a fiver is still ok.....(and still a cheap night out compared to most other things). I didn't see any difference when I dropped prices. It's been a fiver for over 12 years in London and I can't quite fathom why - beer has doubled in price in the same time, yet people get hung up o...

Re: The Football

This killed me the other day, from the Fiver: I suspect its agent/paper talk given Diouf and McCormack had a fight in the tunnel earlier in the season. Well i say fight, Diouf spat at McCormack who headbutted him back. Interesting dressing room otherwise. (Short) Review of our season from a mate ht...

No - only 5 of them survived the free up space on the IPod cull at the weekend.

Not sure about that - ours ended weeks ago.

Still if rumours of Diouf signing are true, we'll achieve a hattrick of most unpopular Chairman, Manager and Player !

Re: London Venues (200 capacity or thereabouts?)

Internet research says The Bull and Gate is 150 capacity. But, it does seem bigger to me. Bull and Gate does feel a bit bigger than Lexington to me and Hoxton Bar and Grill about same size. I'd imagine Borderline is quite expensive. Dingwalls feels bigger than that if you include all the bar area. ...

Thanks to some sendings off and missed penalties - I got 13 points last week.

Its nearly impossible to do that badly deliberately, let alone when you are trying.
