I have just gotten into the remake of this. Am only half way through season one on DVD, any other fans here?

Yes! We're up to the end of season one I think it is.

All the spiritual stuff was starting to get a bit much, I thought. I want there to be more space fights.

I really like it a lot though.

Yes also!

but i've seen it all so far up to the end of season 3 so i'll sit back and observe.

It's great though, probably the best TV show of the last few years, whilst i'm gutted season 4 will be the last, i have high hopes for it given that its the writers decision to finish it and not some coked up high flying TV executive.

Just got to the end of season two!

I gotta go and buy season three now. Where is TV on demand, when you need it.

I loved the end of season 2, i won't say too much in case Pete hasn't got that far, but the last couple of minutes when it looks hopeless and bleak was just fantastic.

Just wait until the cavalry arrive in season 3, SO good.

We've watched up to end of series three and really enjoyed it loads but now we got rid of Sky and it'll be bloody years before series four is on proper telly by which time I'll have forgotten it all and be going "why's Starbuck changed into a woman?" and stuff...

That would require a modern, fast internet connection and a modern, fast computer - I'm living in the digital stone age!

Battlestar Galactica

Post by RITH » Sun Apr 06, 2008 00:02

The final season started this weekend!
I've never before been into any kind of science-fiction-spaceship TV-series, but this is really, really good.

Will they finally find that mythical long-lost thirteenth colony called Earth? Who knows? Exciting stuff!
Also: who will be the last of the Final Five?

I have such a crush on Mary McDonnell. It's the schoolboyest thing ever.

My heart nearly stopped at least twice in that first episode of season 4. I don't usually like science fiction tv stuff either, but this is just fucking fantastically written, isn't it? I think some of its ideas are dead interesting, too, even if sometimes they sort of hammer the point home a bit too much.
the trouble with personalities, they're too wrapped up in style
it's too personal; they're in love with their own guile

I'm just downloading the new episode now, i know what you mean though Mr Gloombutton, she's got that older woman thing going on really well. I'd hate for Laura Roslin to be the last of the five, she deserves more than that.

oh, and we already have a Galactica thread here

I realised when it finished last night that i'd been sitting there somewhat curled up in the same spot for far too long.

What is there? something like 17 episodes left, it's going to get a lot worse.

The more this goes on the more i'm convinving myself the identity of the 5th is *spoiler*
