I know George Lamb, I just didn't think he was anybody's boy.

i thought it was pretty funny. the show in general, not the bit about george lamb. i missed that bit. i'm easily amused, anyway, and i find charlie brooker's particular strand of humour funny anyway. i agree that the quiz show format is pretty pointless, but i like the fact that the humour is just pretty simple - there's no 'look how intelligent and high-brow i am' or 'aren't i the most surreal person with surreal jokes you ever saw?'. it's just a bloke being scathing and getting angry about television. and i like it. so there.

I post on an American wrestling forum as well and they say stuff like that all the time. I thought I'd bring it to Anorak so we can be cooler.
This is bad comedy.

I'm more of a Justin Lee Collins man, actually?

Is there a bigger prick on telly than Justin Lee Collins? I think not.

I enjoyed it. Then again I was a bit plastered, and it may be just down to the presence of Jamelia and Herrings comedy moustache.

Quiz shows are always rubbish when they start though aren't they? They are by the way, thats not a rhetorical question. It takes time for the guests and the host to get into a groove, and to become self-referential as most good comedy quiz shows are. Or something. I should work in telly me.

Did we all fall in love with Jamelia last night, then? Not just me? Good...

No.

Many of us had already fallen.

The programme was nothing all that special, but pretty amusing all the time. It's a bunch of telly clips with some amusing comments in-between, but then I like telly and amusing comments.

Sam was talking about Jamelia's boobs yesterday, he was being bawdy, I couldn't believe it. I like Jamelia too, especially when she slags off Javine.
Andy I felt the same, I felt all dirty because I laughed at something Rufus Hound said. It made me uncomfortable. I thought it was funny in the end, especially when the IRA was one of the World's Deadliest contestants.

George Lamb is a far bigger prick than JLC, and I have a very low tolerance even of the latter. I saw lamb on some thing the other day and he was wearing chinos and loafers without any socks. Worra tit.

How old is George Lamb? He could be anything from 25 to 50.

I'm not sure this really worked - I liked the 'one man ranting' aspect of Screenwipe better, which is basically what this is if you take away the quiz bit, but it was only the first episode, but it's got to be better than most stuff on at that time of night on C4.

Dear Charlie,

The next time you do the 10 biggest cocks in advertising you better include the cunt that does the bits in-between your Channel 4 show.
Because he's a cock. And, as was mentioned - a cunt.

Best wishes,

A Viewer

History repeats itself, first as sitcom, second as earnest for realness, ya?

to paraphrase Karl, um... Kennedy?

It can't be real though. Surely? Who's the art director? 'Jonattan Yeah?'?

it's all very much for real, the editor was previously at Sleaze Nation, this magazine's aimed at 14-24 year olds

I posted it here for all those people who though 'Nathan Barley' was some over-exaggerated fabrication by Brooker and Chris Morris- a satire of something that was beyond satire already and that fitted into a two/three mile square area in the east end and would mean nothing beyond there, 'Nathan Barley' actually seems rather prescient now... we are all living in Nathan's world... well, I'm not, I'm embracing my inner David Mitchell (saucy) and feeling very middle-aged, probably because I am actually middle-aged

middle-aged and provincial

damien hirst is a twat, peter mandelson is a twat, the music industry are twats- nothing shocking there but brooker rather smartly links them all as The Man, the establishment, the people who want to criminalise you and anyone else who nicks their pencils:
