ANORAK, are you watching? It has just finished its first season and it is amazing. It features so many of my favourite people including Joel McHale (who also hosts the excellet show The Soup), Donald Glover (who is a former 30 Rock writer and an awesome comedian), CHEVY CHASE, Alison Brie... the list goes on. It's a half-hour comedy show (about 20 minutes without the ads when you wach online). It's about a Spanish study group at a community college, like so:

I know everyone keeps raving on about Modern Family, and while it's funny, it's no Community! YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID. It is just so good! Give it a few eps because it takes a few to establish the tone. Once you get it, you'll fall in love completely. I mean how can you resist this:

Also, Senor Chang, played by Ken Jeong!

Finally a plea to watch in a banner:

I watched the first episode because being a community college teacher and a fan of Joel McHale, I was sure I would love it, but I didn't!

I'll try again though as you're right about needing to watch more than the first few episodes. It kind of seemed like the actors didn't quite have a grip on their roles, or maybe it was the writers? Anyhow, I'll try again!

Definitely do! I wasn't convinced after the first episode either, I felt like it was perhaps a bit too self-aware, or something. But it only gets better. Episode 23, 'Modern Warfare' is complete television genius.

It took me until about episode four or five, I think, until I was super hooked.

I'm watching that one you mentioned there now because there aren't many full episodes on Hulu at the moment.

Anyhow, I think someone who used to post on bowlie and posted here a couple times is on the show!

Okay, I loved Modern Warfare, but now I'm worried that's the best one and the others won't measure up! I'm going to watch a couple more.

Squirrelbooty, yay, I'm glad you gave it another chance! It's so great and funny, together with Glee it's my break-out comedy of the season!

UK ANORAKS, Community is now shown on VIVA, on Freeview. First double bill this week. This is genuinely one of my favourite shows, it is amazing! Watch it!

It's on Friday night as the last repeat, I think,9 - 10 if I remember correctly. Watch!

The rest of the world: How good is season two so far? I'm loving it! Yay!

Has anyone heard about Community recently being put on a hiatus in the middle of the third season?

All of the people who told me it was "the new Arrested Development" REALLY were spot on, weren't they?

It is true, sadly. Joel Mcale keeps making digs about it on his show The Soup which has been amusing. It sounds like the rest will be screened eventually but its a pretty rubbish thing to do to such a good and popular show.

Popular would be the wrong word for it in terms of viewing figures. It is one of the best shows on tv though. Rewatching season 1 right now and loving it all.

Gotta be some excitement for the return of Community tomorrow, no?!
If any of you are reading this but haven't watched it yet, I implore you to jump off the fence. It's a little slow starting, but if you're not hooked after seven episodes then I'm afraid there may be something wrong with your heart.

I have even given Community THE OFFICIAL DEIRDRES STAMP OF APPROVAL*+

*I didn't consult anyone about this.
+There's no such thing.

I love Community. Was slightly frightened to see a former bowlie in quite a few episodes.

Yeah, I'm a little late to the party. Thought the latest episodes weren't quite as good, but I may have had 5-episode-in-a-row fatigue. Still it beats 30 Rock with a big stick, and I really liked 30 Rock.
