I loved that Tyrion/Tywin scene. As brutal as the slave warrior scene later on in its way. Charles Dance is proper badass in this isn't he?

It is all about Bronn. I love that character.

Best episode of the third season so far I reckon.
SpoilerShow
That scene with Daenerys at the end of the episode was incredible. I knew pretty much exactly what was going to happen, but it still made me punch the air and shout "Yeah! House Targaryean motherfuckers" (on Twitter). It's weird though, no matter how pleased I am for Dany, her having 3 dragons and 8000 brainwashed robo-warriors spells a shitload of trouble for tons of other characters I like.

Also, I know Theon is a backstabbing little shit, but I feel dead sorry for him atm. All the stuff north of The Wall was ace, and it was nice to see Craster get the stabbing he so richly deserved. All this and more Diana Rigg, AND a patented Tywin Lannister verbal smackdown of one his children.

And there was some nice interaction between Jamie and Brienne. And The Hound was back. And Varys has a man in a box. And just what is going in with Pod's sexual abilities?!
It was the best episode in quite a while I think. The first couple from this season felt a little disjointed, but it's all coming together beautifully now.

Who is excited about tomorrow? It has to be an epic episode and I imagine that everything will be going mental. Still need more Direwolves and Bronn.

Yeah, it basically caused a panic attack.

I actually knew what was going to happen as I accidentally read a wiki spoiler, but i didn't think it would be like THAT.

Mostly hang around being dour. He sent his bastard to reclaim Winterfell from Theon and co (and its presumably him who is torturing Theon at the moment). Robb left him in charge of Harrenhall, so it was Bolton who let Jamie go back to King's Landing, asking him to assure Twyin that he personally wasn't responsible for Jamie losing his hand.

Roose is also presumably the person that Tywin has been writing letters to all season.

Kind of drowned out by the Red Wedding, but the look of devastation on Ygridde's (sp?) face when she realised that Jon Snow had betrayed her was heartbreaking. I also liked the use of "hodoring" as a verb.

This isn't coming from someone who read the books, but did Jon Snow take off to lead the Wildlings away from Bran and Rickon (he could have noticed those wolves were Summer and Shaggydog, maybe?) Maybe he didn't actually betray Ygritte (though I know she is clearly seeing it as a betrayal).

I viewed as it he was svaing her from herself, if she'd have gone wiht him she'd be hunted all her life, by abandoning her he was saving her life.

Good point about the wolves though, didn't think of that!
(do we really need to be talking in spoilers? Once the episode has been on real telly then anyone that comes in the thread should know to wait until they've seen it, right? Spoilers for book stuff though please!

I'd agree with the spoilers thing. At what point do you stop doing them? If I hadn't seen this latest episode I'd never have come in here and there's other threads I've ignored for years when I know I've been behind!

Game of Thrones

Post by Gordon » Tue Jun 04, 2013 15:04

I'd say its courtesy for at least a week or so. But the books have been out for ages, so by that logic...

People may want to discuss the show without being completely up to date. I did when I was first catching up with this show...

I guess it's not that big a deal, I'd rather keep them than risk having someone's experience ruined. I bloody hate getting stuff spoiled for me!

Anyway, back to the show...

Are we supposed to know who is torturing Lily Allen'd brother? Did I miss something?

Speculating correctly it would seem.

Davos is my new favourite character. He's genuinely honourable and likable. He's going to die a terrible death isn't he?

Curious to see where this is all going! This whole season seemed like a big set up for the next. I had expected to see a lot more of the White Walkers, for example. The ending of episode 9 was something I won't easily forget though. Great television.

I didn't realise Oona Chaplin is Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter. She's very pretty.

You may all have seen this already, them that are interested but I thought I'd stick it up here anyway

Warning! Contains spoilers for anyone that hasn't seen seasons 1, 2 and 3:
