Oh yeah, totally, it's like when you hear a cop is a week away from retirement.

I am too excited for tomorrow's episode. I can't help but think that because
SpoilerShow
the demise of Hank seems to be a certainty, it probably wont happen and there might be a twist to come

Three episodes isn't enough, this has been my favourite final season of any show ever. It's really ending on a huge high

I think that that was the most unpleasantly intense episode of television I've ever watched. It was all kinds of harrowing and heartbreaking and I genuinely have no idea what's going to happen next.

yup. what dan said. i feel like i'm gonna puke my guts out.

SpoilerShow
what the fuck is it with walt though? why did he give jesse up like that? why? like, to me it seemed like he couldn't take responsiblility for getting hank killed so he decided it was jesse's fault and dobbed him in to get "revenge". when what he should've been thinking was "fuck. i've already got hank's blood on my hands. i should stop now and salvage something out of this and at least save jesse" but no. nope. walt is just too much of a fucking asshole. so now jesse is being tortured and will probably be killed and walt the asshole couldn't give a fuck.

can't take 2 more episodes like this! it's too stressful!

I think a lot of why Walt gave Jesse up is to do with what he was saying to Skyler at the end. He felt that Jesse had betrayed and disrespected him by going to Hank. In the last episode, after Hank arrested him, Walt could only look at Jesse and call him a coward. The grief from watching Hank get executed probably didn't help. It's the fact that he told Jesse that he watched Jane die that was the most awful thing about that whole scene though.

At least Hank went out like the badass he always thought himself to be. That's something. I guess #cries

The stuff Walt was saying to Skyler at the end though was specifically to prevent her getting into any trouble for her involvement. I thought that was quite brilliant.

With Jesse, I dunno, to me it's more like Walt is punishing himself. Oh my god, maybe they turn out to be the same person - Fight Club stylee. (Not a serious suggestion)

Good point with the conversation with Skyler. Didn't occur to me.

yeah, i twigged that about the phone call after a while too! though i was reading a recap/analysis last night and they had yet another angle on it - that being a martyr in that way totally goes with walt's egomaniac tendencies which also makes sense. i guess i've just seen him be shitty/abusive to skylar so many times that i'm not convinced he loves her or genuinely cares about her. i dunno. he IS helping her with that phone call but that reasons behind it being ego-driven instead of genuine-love-and-care driven goes more with the kind of horrible person i think he is.

like, i don't think that redeems him. i don't know if anything will!

One more to go. I'm sort of glad it'll be over. This show is making me sick.

Very good though.

Just listening to The Spook School's History and Breaking Bad has certainly changed the way I think about the lyric "Sometimes I wish you’d get on a flight to Belize".

Loving Jesse Plemons work this season.

Well then:
SpoilerShow
A surprisingly more upbeat finale than I was expecting. I knew Walt had to go, but at least Jr is going to get some of the money, and hopefully Skyler will be free of her legal troubles. More importantly, Jesse survived and got to keep some of his soul in the process (though his throttling of Todd was brutal).

Plus we got to see Skinny Pete and Badger one last time! Yay!

I'd sad it's gone but glad it ended when it did (ie before it went all "Dexter" on us. A superbly acted, written, shot and directed show from start to finish, and some of the best music cues of any shows I've seen. It's up with the Sopranos and The Wire for me, which I do not say lightly.

I've not cared about or got into a TV show in this way since they repeated the prisoner when I was at school....and now it's over. I've been watching random three episode patches of prior series over the past few weeks, I, guess I'll start at the beginning again now. I don't get like this sir television programmes, it must be very bet good for our to have this kind of effect on me.

So now we wait for 'Better Call Saul'. I'm not sure how I feel about that... I liked Saul as as a bitpart, but as the main character? Without Walt? Without Jesse?

We'll see, I suppose.

What do we think about Better Call Saul then? I've loved both episodes I've seen so far.
SpoilerShow
Kind of weird that Mike is just a parking lot attendant/security guard though. I always thought he'd been deep in the game for decades by the time Breaking Bad rolled around. Unless it gets revealed that he has.

Loved Tuco turning up too.
