The thread where we got to talk about hott film people.

Post by let it ride » Wed Feb 27, 2008 19:39

How cute is this, from an article about why Sienna Miller and Rhys Ifans were being gross and PDA-ing it on a 12-hour flight from Los Angels to London post-Oscars, with half the British media on the same flight:
to all fellow passengers - including Oscar-less James McAvoy, who was buried in his sudoku book... Atonement star James McAvoy continued with his puzzles, holding hands with wife Anne-Marie Duff. The most animated he got was to give a snoring passenger a glare.
I love when how you hope actors are, all nice and sweet and polite and clever, it seems to be true.

Now I feel just a tinge guilty for admitting I wanted to lick him.

No no, the above should be a fact contributing to the want for licking.

I just like the idea that some of the people who "make it" are not airheads, and instead kind of hottly clever.

Ha-de-ha-ha-ha. NO.

It's a thread where you get to be all superficial/13 year old "in love"/etc. about actors and actresses and all people tv and film associated.

Anything in which he lets his natural accent run free is good for me.

For me, and I'm a bit embarrassed by this, I'd quite like the opportunity to turn Rupert Everett.

I know it's been said by every woman ever, but really. Cillian Murphy.

That there can be a man so utterly, utterly beautiful almost breaks my heart. He makes me want to believe in things.
Q: I know you are, but what am I?
A: A garbage man.

I will never understand this. I found him pretty in kind of an asexual purdy doll way when I was younger but now he freaks me out completely. He's like a mix of Tom Welling (aka Clark Kent) in Smallville and Jonathan Rhys Meyers who has a case of the bug-eyes.

That said, I fancy Angel in Buffy the vampire slayer, so I'm not one to say anything. But it's only in the right context. Only when he's with Buffy.

Oh and for reasons no one knows, I rather fancy Spike in season six of Buffy too. Although it began in season 4 when I thought "Oooooh, he's not half bad!"

I have a dear friend who looks exactly (and i mean exactly to a scary degree) like Cillian Murphy. I'll sell him to you for a reasonable price, if you'd like. I've been storing his stuff for a few years, so the least he owes me is the right to stud fees.

Edit: And how on earth could I forget Giles? I'd walk right over Angel and Spike to get to him. I wouldn't say no to his brother Murray either, actually.
OMG Giles aka Anthony Stewart Head, or Tony Head as he likes to be known, is like a super Landahnah, and in EVERY damn behind the scenes feature on Buffy, there he is, pretending to be 17 and really blasé about everything and really manly with rolled-up sleeves and his intense singing voice. He wants to NOT be Giles so badly, to almost be laughing at Giles. This shows especially well in the musical episode "Once more with feeling".

I understand the appeal of Shirley Henderson and find to be rather pretty, but that is one of the worst pictures I have ever seen of a human being, ever.

Oh hell yeah. I love it whenever "Ripper" comes out of the Giles exterior.

Better. She doesn't photograph all that well though. I think you have to see her in action.

yeah. plus, it's not really just her appearance that makes her attractive, it's her mannerisms and all that stuff. if i were ever to leave gav, it could only be for shirley henderson.

She seems like one of those people that I want to be friends with. Which makes me creepy.

Stop making me creepy, Shirley Henderson!

I have no idea who she is, but she looks a bit (a lot?*) like Nina Nastasia in both those pictures, who is not a film person but I'm linking to a picture of anyway, just because I am.

*edit: a bit.
